ealingfox Posted 14 August 2017 Posted 14 August 2017 Thought you couldn't be offside in your own half though?
pleatout Posted 14 August 2017 Posted 14 August 2017 You cant. But you can be in an offside position when the ball is played by a member of your own team by being in your opponents half and running back into your own half to recieve the ball. The free kick is given where you recieve the ball (ie in your half) not where you were when the offence was committed (ie in your opponents half)
pleatout Posted 14 August 2017 Posted 14 August 2017 Twas clarified last year as the wording of the law said take the kick where the offense occured, which is actually 2 places, one in each half. Confused? That's the FA/FIFA
filbertway Posted 15 August 2017 Posted 15 August 2017 There were 4 goals scored in the first half right? Even allowing for just 30 seconds for celebrations, there's 2 minutes right there without considering anything else.
