Izzy Posted 24 August 2017 Posted 24 August 2017 We went to Legoland at Easter and pre-ordered 4 Qbots. When we arrived, we were greeted with a 100 meter, 90 minute queue to collect our Qbots - oh the irony. Apparently they weren't working, so everyone had to have the service set up on their phones instead which took for ages. On another note, most theme parks worth their salt will limit the amount of fastpass/express passes they sell per day so that the regular queue is never shorter than the fast pass queue. We went to the new Universal Volcano Bay water park twice last week and both times the express passes had sold out. P.S. if you think £80 each is excessive for Legoland Q-Bots, try Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We paid $135 x 4 for our Express passes on top of the entry price. Completely nuts but the price puts most people off. Our theory being if we're going all that way and spending a shit load of money anyway then fvck it. We managed to do all the rides and saved hours queuing.

Sorry, mate - but that's brilliant!! I remember you saying about the cost of the Florida ones - could you have used the 'just buy 2 and pass them along' trick?

Mate, the difference at the Florida theme parks is that the normal and Express lines are separate entrances and rarely run side by side each other. The exits always send you the other way out via the gift shops, so you couldn't give your express passes to someone in the normal queue once you've finished the ride. I'm sure they've thought this through the clever fvckers

I'll just purchase a (surprisingly not lactose free soya variant of) vanilla ice cream and wait for you neoliberal pigdogs near the entrance.

I do admire you and all you stand for mate If you think fast passes are unfair and separate the rich from the poor, let me tell you all about the VIP and personal tour guide upgrade ticket. It'll make you sick

The park was very quiet and the fast track queues were longer than the regular one. I went with the missus a couple of months ago, Friday in term time. It rained early morning and there was no one there - longest queue was 5 minutes all day. Well glad I didn't fork out the extra £100 per ticket for unlimited fast-track The previous time I'd gone was when the XIII had just been completed... queued up for 3 hours and it turned out it's about the lamest ride at Alton Towers

Although you can book fast passes up to 30 days in advance, we couldn't book one (because Disney resident guests can book them 60 days in advance) So we had to queue for FOUR hours in 100 degree heat. Was it worth it? Absolutely not, but virtually riding on the back of a banshee through the world of Pandora was pretty cool...

But, yeah, seems like a bit of an error on their part.
