The 80’s, for me, was just great for boxing. Have started getting into it again recently. In the past year have been to the Copper Box, York Hall & went to Leeds to see Josh Warrington. York Hall is brilliant, holds 1,200 people, so you’re so close to the action, and Bethnal Green is a great area, pubs are nice, met so many ‘proper’ Eastend characters. Thoroughly recommend a weekend down there

Have you posted on the Boxing thread yet? You obviously know your stuff and there’s a few other ‘experts’ on there :D

Should be some good banter on there tonight with the Jr v Groves fight. Would be good to have your input Stevie

I’ve made the odd comment on the Boxing thread, will take a look tonight. Really can’t pick a winner. Even the press seem evenly divided. They say ‘a good big ‘un will always beat a good little ‘un’. So Groves, but I’m not sure how good he really is !!

Beauchamp.

One of the worst players in the top flight iirc.

Correct. When he first came onto the scene, he looked quite good
