Whitworth's only ever goal for Leicester! I think he only ever scored one league goal in his whole career which was later on for another club. Quality full back though.

 

But not the correct game for the last Leicester 40k home attendance, although you got the right year.

 

42k I believe for the 1971 FA Cup QF at Filbert Street v Arsenal in the days when FA Cup games were a bigger drew than league matches. This match was 10 months before my first ever game, so unfortunately I've never seen us play in front of a 40k+ home crowd. Bring on the stadium expansion!
