Maguire was on another level, imo should have been MotM, the only thing that you mention is he got rolled by a player that's rolled half the league this season. If that makes a poor player, there are some shocking defenders in the Premier League this season.

Don’t get me wrong…. I’m a huge fan…. And he (in the main) had a cracking game 

 

rule number one of any defender is not to make big mistakes.  I maintain that he got too tight tight and got rolled too easily….

 

As as a result of that he doesn’t  come 2nd in my player rankings…

Morgan made as much of an error as Maguire for the 2nd goal IMO.

 

Should work as a pair in that situation. Morgan shouldn't dive in when Maguire has got a player like Salah touch tight. If Morgan didn't dive in then he can cover Maguire if/when Salah turns him.

 

If Morgan is going to dive in the he should do it when Maguire is a yard or so off Salah knowing that Maguire has a better chance of making the tackle.

 

Little things like that are difficult but you should expect better of Premier League players.

Agree I think Morgan should drop in and cover.... especially when he knows Maguire ain't exactly fast.
