Gené and Tonic Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 How great have his non-league signings been? Mitchell Cole and Freddy Eastwood came from Grays and both look class acts, easily capable of playing in the champonship and maybe in the prem given time. Cole has great dribbling ability, and runs and defenders, scores a few as well, the perfect left winger, only cost 20k. (Still time for Levein to get him on the cheap ) Eastwood, great eye for goal, good dribbling ability, has that "spark", only cost 100k, a complete class act. Maybe Levein should start looking down the leagues, and maybe Grays in particular. Although, both Eastwood and Cole came from West Hams academy, before being picked up by Grays, picking up players released from there may be a good option as well

I watched West Ham Reserves play at Hinckley the other week and they'd got a couple of attackers who could play the flanks who looked very swift, clever and threatening. This Tilson guy seems to be becoming a manager of consequence.
SystonFox Posted 16 October 2005 Posted 16 October 2005 also Fred Eastwood scored the winner vs forest so he's my imaginary best mate!!!!
NFFC Chris Posted 16 October 2005 Posted 16 October 2005 also Fred Eastwood scored the winner vs forest so he's my imaginary best mate!!!! It was inevitable that he would score against us after our interest in him in the summer
The People's Hero Posted 16 October 2005 Posted 16 October 2005 I see Forest overcame the mighty Hartlepool yesterday though.
