Hoping to establish a thread where FTers can post something about the locally based amateur and semi-pro clubs they support -- not only non-league English clubs, but worldwide.  Maybe post snaps of the grounds, and share anything of interest.

Cleveland SC play in the Midwest region of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).  One of two nationwide leagues at the level beneath the professional tiers, though that isn’t formalized here.

They play in a 5K capacity stadium just down the street from us and get gates of a few hundred.  They replaced a club that went bust last year (all of a year after having won the league) and have relatively experienced players.  Mostly former and current collegiate stars.

Some are coaches or pursuing that career: so little surprise that the reason the football is worth watching, is the intelligence of play.  The pace isn’t too fast.  But if there is an intelligent pass available, it tends to be made.  More through balls than in some PL matches.  Technical skills are decent.

There’s an English flavor; the loudest voices from the pitch carry what I assume are Yorkshire accents, as the coach is from Barnsley and the captain from Huddersfield.

Sunday afternoon (photo above) they beat Syracuse, NY 4-0 and moved into first place  :)

Not really that local as they play in Dronfield in Derbyshire but Sheffield FC are mine and @baker11's local non league side, famously the oldest football club in the world. Good pub next to the ground.
