Steven Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 I am of the opinion that Levein should ask Steffen Freund to come out retirement. He is younger than Dublin so age is not a problem. Just the man to play the CM sitting role and fire the troops up at the same time.

The People's Hero Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Absolute legend. Think he was similar to Les... got wind of who else was leaving and suddenly didn't fancy it anymore.
Louise Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 He wanted big wages, that's why he went. Plus he was rubbish.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 He wanted big wages, that's why he went. Plus he was rubbish. Yeah! Of course he was, without him we would of lost a lot more games. You're obviously getting mixed up with the current midfield.
Bert Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 I bet he'd do a decent job for us in this league though!
Louise Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Yeah! Of course he was, without him we would of lost a lot more games. You're obviously getting mixed up with the current midfield. He was a blagger, he shook his fist at the fans and they all cheered, then he went and lost possession, mistimed a tackle, moaned to the ref, passed to the opposition, and all anyone remembered was the fist shaking. Did wave to me once when on the way to the Birmingham game though

Louise Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 But let's face it, you have a picture of Jordan Stewart on your avatar so who are you to know good players. Is Freund your son or something? Who says the picture in my avatar has to be of a brilliant player? I thought Jordan was pretty hard done by here as every time he was on the ball he got abuse from people. I met him once and he seemed like a nice guy. I take it you're one of those twats idiots who booed his every move.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 He used to waddle over to take his long throws. That's my main memory of him. Atleast he was passionate about the club whilst he was here. I'd love one of the current players to shake their fist at the fans and not like de Vries does just after he's missed an opportunity.

I'd love one of the current players to shake their fist at the fans and not like de Vries does just after he's missed an opportunity. The lasting memories of yesterday were the countless times that De Vries and Sylla slumped to the ground and smacked the floor with their hands in frustration, instead of getting up and tring to win the ball back.
