Penalties are pretty much a lottery hit it cleanly and you have a chance of scoring same as if the keeper goes the right way he has a chance of saving said penalty. but you can make that chance negligible with good placement, which is the bloody point. Take Kanes penalty vs Panama - he puts it high with power, it's into the top corner and the keeper has no chance of reaching it even though he goes the right way. Any keeper would be happy to face penalties like the one Vardy took on Sunday because it's the easiest type to save

Fvck it I heard a rumour it was Puel that shot JFK. Also being an alien means his press conference's are boring. Oh his next job's leading spuds to a prem title 20/21 To be fair,,, it did come from behind so.. makes sense
Oxfordfox83 Posted 12 February 2019 Posted 12 February 2019 Bring back Nuge! (Although I’m fairly sure when he was playing, penalties didn’t count )

I wanted him to have it when I saw Maddison with the ball but it should have been Maguire really. Was relieved when I saw Vardy running on when Maddison had the ball, but my mate had doubts as he had only just came onto the field. Did mention Tielemans as I thought ( might be wrongly) that he took them. Players miss penalties we move on. Did think Maddison showed some balls to grab the ball though, considering his last two efforts.

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 February 2019 Posted 12 February 2019 It was tempting fate allowing Vardy to take it with his first touch. Would have preferred a player who was fully warmed up and in the flow of the game taking it. Tielemans is a good shout - you could see he is a very technically accomplished player and doesn't carry the baggage of missing his last 2 like Maddison.
