I do miss Filbert Street

It's so sad that the club couldn't get the purchases of the houses behind the East Stand.

I understand it wasn't ideal for the residents at the time but the whole row has turned into a right shitholes and we had to move stadium.

That's not what stopped the development it was the houses on the other side of Burnmoor who complained that they'd lose all daylight with a big stand in front of their houses.

No way is he getting sacked anytime soon. As fans we should always be the 12th man and get behind them (unless they run like last season's team) at least the club and Martin are now trying to create a positive culture within by bringing in youth and decent players with great personalities

The results on the pitch will decide his fate

Is that so? I was under the impression there was resistance to sale.

Either way, a crying shame considering the area has fallen into a sad state of disrepair. A bigger stadium would have been the better choice with hindsight.

lol Ignore me he plays for Swansea

Barely playing, hasn't been in the squads or made an appearance. Assume he's injured given he's not even made the bench

I’m not sure it was, there were a lot of problems with Filbert Street that would have been made worse by expanding the stadium. Not being able to to grow grass because the stands were too close to the pitch being one.

It was one of the issues but the campaign against it led by Councillor Mary Draycott was fronted by the light issue as that was an integral part of any planning app. She also successfully led the Western St campaigners against the Bede Island stadium development
