Interesting that there is similar threads on other forums for clubs outside the big 6 as well.

No surprise I suppose. Care to link any?

I remember when I was a kid, learning about football and asking my dad lots of 'what if' questions, and one of them was 'what if you use your hands to stop the ball smashing you in the face'. He said that whatever the reason you've deliberately handballed so it's a foul, and to me 30+ years later it's still as simple as that. There is no law that protecting yourself in any situation is an exception: Laws of the game: fouls and misconduct

You don't HAVE to make a wall when defending a free kick, but if you choose to stand 10 yards from someone about to blast the ball in your direction then be prepared for the worse. Yes I've stood in walls and it's not a very nice feeling watching that run up, but you're prepared to take one for the team, or in KDB's case you take one for the team AND a 200 grand a week pay packet.

So yeah, the KDB penalty incident is stonewall in my opinion and I'm disappointed there wasn't more of a shout for it from our players.

It’s a football, and I know these lads can really whack a ball but come on. Protect your knackers and if they’re really that concerned they should just turn their head or even turn their back. A lot of players would have got their head where Aguero had his hands, to block the shot.

Yep totally bias was Micah Richards, didn’t question a single thing the ref gave.

I am done sorry i’ll see you all Friday.

Its not about whether Micah Richards was biased or not. Watching the Sky coverage after the game I thought he was reasonably fair. Its about the culture in which this is happening. Obviously Sky think the Man city view is more important and more weight is given to their opinion; If you don't think this crosses over into other areas such as refereeing decisions then you're naive.

This is why the term institutionalised is being used. I dont think its deliberate its just influenced by the culture which creates an inherent bias.
