League one. We did it our way.

Amongst all the doom and gloom, and yes i`m a bit gloomy myself today, it is sometimes easy to forget where we have come form to where we are now.

Watching this brought back some great memories of a season i was dreading before it kicked off, and yet left me with some great memories.

A season playing against proper football clubs with proper fans.

This achievement shouldn't be overlooked.

 

Pearson came into a club that was on the decline, certain players wanted to leave and I imagine morale was low. 

 

We walked the league and made it look easy. Going to places and hammering teams. I remember going to Cheltenham away and being amazed that I'd just seen us win 4-0 away from home!

 

Other big clubs got stuck in League 1 for two/three seasons, look at Sheffield United/Southampton/Forest/Leeds etc. We walked it in the year.

PL title season aside this was one of my favourite seasons ever.

 

The club was rebuilt.

I’m sorry but I’m sick of people saying were we came from ? We played in league one once in our whole history due to a idiot chairman and bad management. We were never a league one club so please stop acting like we were some sort of Peterborough like club. Wolves, Southampton, forest and sheff Wednesday all been in league 1. Yet I wouldn’t class them as league 1 clubs. We should had never dropped that far in the first place. Us and Leeds that season shouldn’t had never been in league one in the first place. It was embarrassing, and a season I like to forget. Being in crap form but still 3rd in the premiership doesn’t need people talking about were we came from. It’s annoying and time people moved on from ‘ ten years ago’ bollocks.
