The beginning of the end? - Sky Sports

Felt this needed a bump after last night. Fulham v Burnley was a huge game for those clubs and Sky, predictably, focused on unrelated stuff, as ever, with the Super League teams. Who should Man United sign? Man City v Chelsea breakdown (the game was played two days before!). Arteta in or out?

It is piss poor. If you show one match, dedicate all your build up and energies into it. Get relevant pundits in if you have to, if Neville and Carragher know bugger all or don't care a jot for those teams.

Agree totally. Even though i have a sky sports and bt sports subscription i tend to stream most PL games now on either NBCSN or Bein. They at least discuss the teams playing in their live game. Sky and Bt are embarassing from the commentary team to the pundits in the studio.

It's not as if they don't spend enough time on their other channels talking about the same things

It does feel at times as though the football match gets in the way of the discussion.

If they're wanting to discuss these things make a separate programme prior to the 30mins before the game for an hour and have them waffle about the big 6, Man United's transfer fantasy etc, why Arsenal are in a mess again etc etc

But minute we hit 30mins before a game, all focus should be on the game they're showing. Talk through the team sheets, how they expect them to play and implications etc. Then at least have a breakdown analysis of the game, controversies etc. If the game was a 0-0, then it doesn't need to be long and they can start waffling again. It's pathetic that every discussion on these shows has to revolve around a big 6 member.
