I'm just here for the NZers tbh, everyone else will be too insufferable.

Yeah, said earlier in the tournament I'll be more disappointed when they eventually lose or drop out then I will be when England do

Pope averages 33 and has about 700 runs 😂 it's such a shit decision when there's so many others they could select. Hain and Bell-Drummond are two obvious picks.

For comparison Sam Hain average is 58, almost double! Also at a higher strike rate too.

Jobs for the boys alright.

Bell-Drummond is at 44 and also a higher strike rate than Pope. Genuinely baffling, he might turn out to be a decent pick, but he doesn't warrant the initial selection, sends the wrong message completely.

Come on then New Zealand, sorry @StanSP

Echo this sentiment.

Going to be pretty fun either way though - a proper carnival if India win, or what will look like the biggest fire drill in history if they look like losing.

To be fair if we don't win it I don't mind if NZ do.

I'm torn, as I want New Zealand to win it, but I think India are probably the only side to definitely stop Australia especially in a final

Controversy even before the start with a used pitch being played on.

I read a bit about this and the only thing that seems iffy is changing it at such short notice, and that it has happened before (so nothing new).

And that it favours spinners and slower wickets, so it doesn't really give a huge advantage to either side given the quality of spin available (Jadeja and Santner).

It seems awkward but I don't think it's as big as is being made out.

Yeah, get a dead pitch in knowing you'll outbat the opposition at home. Will expect the same for the final.

Smart strategic choice from India. No one should blame them for using such home conditions to their advantage - everyone does and should.

True - doubt it’s going to make much difference either way .

Biggest danger to them is cramp .
