More interestingly we was willing pay his full wages even though we are broke

For the love of god we are not broke.  We are trying to reduce our wages to turnover issue which you have to do in order to comply with the new FFP rules.  Rules introduced by EUEFA.  For the benefit of the global big teams.

If its true we were in for Pepe I for one am glad he has turned us down especially if its true, we were going to pay his wages.  We are trying to reduce our wage bill.

I would imagine there will be quite a few teams like us, Villa, Everton, even Newcastle that could fall foul of the new FFP rules when Uefa start to enforce them.

Our owners want to invest in the infrastructure of the club as a whole.  Downside is of course if we were to be relegated it would all blow up in their faces.  It certainly is a gamble and a risk.

Ffs! I reckon he would have been a decent player for us yano, shame.

...he looks like he has all the talent, he failed to impose himself at Arsenal!!!

Either he was intimidated by his surroundings or he lacks the personality to be what we want him to be. In his position, you do want a bit of a maverick streak, it just needs to be reigned in.

Nice manager Favre critical of Pepe on his debut which was a 3 nil loss to Marseille....

many on here wanted him.

Here's what the manager had to say,

'He hasn't played for a long time in England. He has done the pre-season with Arsenal but hasn't played any matches. He is lacking a bit of rhythm, intensity in his placements, in his pressing aswell as in his ball recovery, because everyone has to do that. There aren't any exceptions, if one or two players don't do the work, the whole team is in trouble. Everyone has to do that at the same time, everyone has to defend to recover the ball.

This can be said for afew of our players....
