It is very unlikely that City would make a move to sign Pepe, not least because of the fee Arsenal would command and also the wages the 34-cap Ivory Coast star is likely to be on.’

Basically an article about how we aren’t in for this guy…. Maybe I should write an article about how we also aren’t in for Messi and Mbappe, see if Leicester Mercury will give me a reporting job

To be fair. I have total confidence that it would be at least as good as the sh1t that's on there

Ah.... another name ...... another player we'll never sign.

Alas .... cruel world ....

Not a cruel world in this case. Pepe is one we should be delighted about ignoring.

Do Arsenal have anyone who might realistically be available and worth a punt in part of an exchange deal for Tielemans?

I feel that it will not be a healthy situation for the club if he stays around for another season without signing a new contract.

Saliba would be one of the only ones I'd look at

Only works if they divide his previous fee by 4, and he is willing to divide his wages at least in half. He was 75m ish and on probably 150k.

A good player though not worth more than £35 million , however there is absolutely no chance whatsoever he would take less than £8 m a year and that would mean getting both Tielemans and Soyuncu off the books.

Arsenal probably want a straight swap with Tielemans.... without paying us any cash.

Reading Arsenal Mania they kind of say he struggles in the EPL but flourishes in Europe.....think he may be like where experiencing with Soumare.

But Pepe's stats aren't that bad.....maybe he needs a manager who plays the game around him?

I'd rather we do a deal with Saliba

Not a good player. Better than Perez arguably and an actual right winger. But certainly not the answer to our prayers. Would rather see Alves thrown in to see if he can be our own Rooney or Owen.

Give them a Turkish or Italian offer: we'll loan him for no fee, cover 20% of his wages and have a non compulsory option to buy for 20 quid which we will try to negotiate down to a tenner plus an empty bag of crisps next summer. Is good deal, you accept yes. Si si.

Tielemans? For you, 100 million euro, cash up front. Si

I must admit, I missed Soumare’s flourishing performances in Europe last season, which games were those again (minus the one piece of great work against Spartak away)?

Soumare does find it hard in EPL games, can't say I saw him play in Europe to be honest, while Pepe doesn't quite fit in the EPL but was good in Europe

And you get laughed at on the beach for having Rodger’s printed across your ass

It's a shame that there seems to be no substance whatsoever to this.  He could really be just what we need. The only reason he doesn't play at Arsenal is Saka and they think of him as a flop because he cost them 72m. The season they signed him he was 2nd only to Mbappe for goals in France and his actual goal to game ratio isn't terrible at Arsenal. He should be hitting his peak age wise now and knows the league. The wages would be the kicker as well as the fee as he must be on huge money.

Right, I don’t for one minute think we’ll get him, or that we’re even in for him. But…. If we off loaded, Choudhury, Soumare and Perez, and only bought in Pepe and kept everyone else, we would have a top seven competitive squad.

Just goes to show, despite all the drama and negativity around us at the moment, we are actually only a decent right winger  away from a superb squad, imo

This guy was brought to Arsenal as a money washing tool

He's on more than our highest earner and is exceptionally average, stay clear

How is this a thread? There is no decent link, and Brendan confirmed we’re not signing anyone in the current situation.

With this and the numerous transfer budget threads, it’s more like Reddit here.
