I keep hearing we can’t sack Rogers because we can’t afford it.  I’m sure i read something from the FMA that stated that contrary to what people think  i.e managers get paid the years left on their contract when its terminated, the truth is they get nothing. That it is down to the manager to seek recompense through the courts which entails expense and the caveat that they do not take another job! Usually the manager is paid off with an amount that both sides agree to. Surely we can sack the sack of s@&t and let him chase us through the courts fir years? Answers from people qualified to be at the bar only

I say sack him. And I'm qualified to be at the bar. Though not the one you mean.

I've spent my entire life frequenting bars, so that makes me pretty qualified to repeat what I've previously said (many times) that the contracted amount in the termination clause is always less than the value of a year's salary. No doubt someone who is skilled at Football Manager will carry on spouting that we'll have to pay him a trillion pounds - ignore them.

But the get out clause is still only enforceable if he goes to court and wins. In the meantime he get sod all.
