8th Last Season to 20th?

Leicester City F.C Season 21/22 - If you look at last season, we finished 8th. We won 3 out of 4 of our last games. We beat Watford 5-1, drew with Chelsea. We finished very strong.

 

So my question is how have we gone from 8th best club in the league to the 20th in months?

Also BR is saying Vardy is 35 and must be spared minutes on the pitch yet he was smashing goals in just a few months ago last season.

 

We are talking months people, months! You don't become a bad team overnight so what's happening here? We only lost Schmeichel.

Our fixtures have been lop-sided facing four “big six” clubs in our first seven games but that’s no excuse for not finishing off Brentford, losing at home to Southampton or getting thrashed at Brighton. I’d expect 5-7 points by now, more if Villa hadn’t been cancelled. The confidence loss and losing of heads is inexcusable as is the not learning from mistakes. Do they not do post match analysis like every other club? 
They did need re-enforcements and fresh faces and having a goalkeeper with such a strange take on positioning doesn’t help.

The last 4 games of last season papered over some seriously deep cracks.

Losing the biggest leader in the club and one of the best defenders probably has some kind of effect.
