Fortunately, I sit just a couple of rows in front of the boxes. They had the Everton match on the big screen so confirmed instantly there was no goal.

Sums up our fanbase to be honest.

 

A guy in front of us somehow managed to fluke a signal for a stream by the time the second hoax went off, so we knew it was BS.

 

They won't be here next year, silver lining

A mate messaged me during the game to say social media influencers (aka *****) were tweeting about Bournemouth goals, so could have been that as well.

 

A lad sat next to me instantly shouted “Bournemouth have scored!” - but was just going from cheers. Lol funny how you say something that you have no idea if something is factual…
