I got as far as 2 of my namesakes: 

Andy Aitken 71 appearances from 1909 to 1911
Andy Anderson 26 appearances 1914 to 1915

But soon realised doing that was probably more boring than whatever you were doing in the first place!!!

 

Don't know anything about them, but I'd take either of them in a heartbeat as subs over Akinbiyi...

Yes I did restrict it to players I've either seen live or at least seen footage of (except for Sep Smith whose club legend status is nonetheless well known). However, upon reflection, I would concede that Billy Bannister's 160 appearances and 18 goals between 1904-10 probably should earn him a place on the bench ahead of the likes of Jarrett, Akinbiyi and Cort
