If you take the train from Leics to Brum, you can see the huge terminal at Nechells and subsequently the Curzon Street terminus. 

 

Spanning the M42, I believe, not the M6 unless I've taken a wrong turn.

I’ve seen it from the M42 and the M6 toll, it’s a big un.

You see from the M6 but it goes over M42
