A handful of UFS met with the club yesterday to raise a few points and this was one of them we pushed on again. We made the point of Southampton not going to general sale, or at least booking history, considering there were around 500 tickets unsold. It was clear they are worried about trouble but we countered with the fact that troublemakers will get in no matter what and even booking history/general sale requires people to have an account with their details recorded.

 

The club are taking this away to the ticketing department. The next few weeks will tell whether they listened or not. Blackburn was mentioned as another example where we could ask for even more tickets and then open sales further.

 

Overall, it was disappointing to see Southampton stay at member sales only.

Thank you for continuing to push this! Crazy how they'd rather have empty seats than sell to fans with a booking history.
