Jordan Posted 9 December 2005 Posted 9 December 2005 I've got the day off, the Foxes are on TV here, World Cup draw and everything, all set to head down to NYC, but... That's, at the least, how much snow we're going to get by the time this storm leaves early Friday afternoon: This could really f*** up my commute into Manhattan. The snow will be heaviest between 7 am and 11 am, just in time to ruin the rat race for the work-bound and to screw up the trains. I live 25 miles north of midtown Manhattan (across from WNBC-New York Channel 4 meteorologist Janice Huff's smile) and the National Weather Service is actually calling for 6-10 inches of snow in my area, which conflicts with the map above. I'm taking a train at about 1 p.m., and there's a good chance it'll be affected by the mess. Please, please, please be kind, weather. And to the Metro-North railroad crews: Please do an awesome job tomorrow. Many thanks in advance.

Jordan Posted 9 December 2005 Author Posted 9 December 2005 She's happy because she's a meteorologist and big storms mean she gets to work more and make more money. It's starting to die down now, but this storm really dumped a lot on us... looking out my window, I'd say six inches at the least. The good thing is that the train station is right across the street from my house, and by the sounds of everything, they're running on time. I'm definitely there. COME ON, LEICESTER!
Hitesh Posted 10 December 2005 Posted 10 December 2005 I wanna go New York!!!!! Even if there are inches and inches of snow...i still wanna go!
