With respect, the trust won’t operate the way it should do if there aren’t changes at board level. You say you are open to change and want to improve the trust … yet aren’t open to any changes at board level. If you compare other trusts around the country to ours, it’s night and day.  This is why there is a reform group.

We are open to change having appointed 6 new members to the Board Subgroups (that would have been 8 had 2 members from FT Reform not turned the positions they were offered down, with those roles in areas the individuals concerned had shown great interest in.

The Board Subgroups handle the bulk of the work of the Trust, making recommendations to the full Trust Board for consideration and approval, with the expectation that most recommendations will be approved

The Board decided it would be beneficial for every member who has recently stepped forward to be involved initially at subgroup level.   Subgroup work provides a good stepping stone to Board positions for those who subsequently desire to take that route, while providing real benefit to the Trust and demonstrating commitment to the work of the Trust.  It also allows an assessment of whether the time commitment required works for members.  Experience amongst other Trusts, and in the past for the Foxes Trust, has included examples where members found the requirements too great for them to maintain their commitment.

I would add that the club would be wise to change and become more fan focused as there is a fast growing undercurrent discontent that is getting louder and louder, this is going to cause animosity and problems for the club/board in the near future. We’re seeing already it with the foxes trust membership rising and the trust reform group, they’ll ignore it their own peril, trouble is brewing unless they change, or change the people that are making these decisions that show no fan consideration.

Hopefully change is coming. But there’s a difference between posting threads like this to farm likes and boost your brand, and actually getting off the couch to do that thing called change.

Theres a reform group who have held two v informative calls. Join the trust, follow their lead and make sure you vote should any decisions come to all trust members

I remember being on a works committee like that in my youth and we were told we were going to have to some work which I didn't understand the reason for so I asked Why? and got a vague response so repeated Why?. This went of for 5 or 6 times with no real justification for the work and I was asked to leave. So I did and resigned from it.

We laugh but this goes on all the time, especially at Leicester city.  I've been in workplaces where it happens. A decision has already been made but they pay lip service to consulting employees (or in this case, fans) for their views, knowing full well they are going to do what they have decided anyway.  And if you question it rather than bend over and take it, you are viewed as a "trouble maker"

That said, fair play to anyone who actually fights/argues for what they believe in or for change.

Just to add they went ahead with it and me and my team spent weeks inputting a load of data only for it to be found unnecessary, can't remember the exact details.

lol yup... the annual News Corp planning weekend, sold to the underlings as a weekend to come up with new ideas, to brainstorm and plan for the next year. Was infact fully planned and structured, the "ideas" had already been created, costed and planned by the senior team.

Common occurrence.....these executives must think we are daft......I'd have more respect if they just said this is what we are doing, no arguments, get on with it, rather than insult my intelligence by asking my views and pretending I have a say

Each year at Donny there was a fans vote on the kits. Fans could submit designs, the club would shortlist and put 5 home and 5 away to the public vote via a Facebook app and paper votes for those without the internet.

My boss and the commercial manager at the time decided to ensure that Louis Tomlinson (a Donny fan and a revenue stream for the club) submitted a design. This shirt then miraculously won the vote for the away kit. By competition law we had to publish the winning names…

Oh my word! We were on the front web page of literally EVERY global news outlet, sports press, music press. It was awful.

You can imagine the genuine fans reaction that came my way as Head of Comms and Marketing. My phone was off the hook with international press.

All that to sell a few hundred shirts to young girls in Peru….
