Hear me out.  I want my exotic unknown signings to be someone I’ve never seen play , other than a YouTube clip in a league where I have no way to truly judge their ability. And to live in a la la la land of hope and optimism from the day they sign until they first play for us.
 

Then when they have a stinker I want to lambast the club for wasting money yet again. Then after 6 months of them not being seen again, I want to start a conversation about how they’ve never been given a chance and demand they get an opportunity. time will pass, my love for the player will grow and grow, I’m fond of his dog on instagram, then the moment comes he gets a chance in the league cup against shrewsbury. we lose 1-0 and I finally accept he was never good and he wasn’t just kept out of the club because he fell out with Luke Thomas’s cousin.

 

Are you saying we can just sign someone we already know is sh*t and avoid this love story?
