Hi, I am a third year university student at UCFB Manchester and as part of my final year dissertation project, I am conducting a study on the effectiveness of Leicester City FC’s digital marketing strategies, and I’d love to hear from you!
I am seeking individuals over the age of 18 to fill out a short questionnaire that
evaluates the effectiveness of its marketing efforts in attracting, interacting with, and retaining fans.

Who can participate?
Leicester City FC fans
Football enthusiasts active on digital platforms
Anyone who has interacted with the club’s online content

I would really appreciate your input will be incredibly valuable in the contribution to my research

Thank you!

Just completed this for you and circulated it to the rest of the family.  My daughter attended UCFB (Business and Marketing) and had a fantastic time.

This really isn't a good time.

Could you call back in 2035?

Reckon that’s when the club will implement the strategies that some clubs in league 1 and 2 already blow us out the water with? lollol

They’re complacent because the footballing department was competent 10 years ago. It’s like we won the euromillions jackpot with a £2 scratch card.

The only advertising channels are digital which is a bigger problem than the digital itself (although the emails only ever try to flog shit).

Plenty of terrible decisions made along the way too.

Easy one to pick out - Essentially acting like we don’t have an U21 side during its most successful and exciting period in years is hilarious. Theres league 1 sides with dedicated social accounts for their development teams.

There’s all sorts of top of the funnel out of home stuff they could do.

They could afford to install digital billboards all over and even use the space for additional sponsorship - that’d require some slightly unconventional thinking. They like safe-not-quite-failure instead

Id love to get a hold of it, I’ve got a list of 20 things I could do in the first month that I think would completely transform things. Most of them wouldn’t cost a thing!

Very early in my career I applied for a job with the club, was told my application gave the impression I’d struggle to separate being a fan and working for the club, they preferred hiring people who didn’t have an affinity with the team lol.

Perhaps that’s changed now but they certainly come across as a club with not many “fans” as employees.

It’s still the case. It’s not like we benefit from the infinitely larger non-fan pool with better experience, ability and execution.

Stems from the crap, zero-accountability owner and CEO.

Football marketing should be EASY because you have 10,000s of fans that would love to give you more money.
