Laughing at your first two sentences, not the last

I suppose you were one of the dafties calling for Vestegaard to be hanged, drawn and quartered when he brought his dog in.

Some people give too much of a toss.

Not really no.

Amazes me he can’t find a dog sitter in London though.

Do you not think the overall lax attitude around the club and the training ground is having an effect on the pitch?

Train hard fight easy.

So many ridiculous takes about Fatherhood here.

Bloke's wife has not long given birth. Have a bit of humanity.

What is one night at the training ground going to achieve? What's Ruud planning? A game of soggy biscuit?

That last sentence is exactly what I was thinking what will it achieve. I suppose he could explain to Winks how he needs to up his game and be more like N'didi and Soumare if wants to get back in the team

They're being led by a donkey who's been put in the position to manage a Premier League club by an even bigger sausage.

I don't blame them if I'm honest. Culture in any organisation is dictated by those at the top. (pardon the pun) People pull in the right direction when they're motivated, and go the other way when they aren't.

The decision to bring in Ruud is the problem.

Edit: Loving the debate by the way. (Not just saying this, I think it's pretty interesting to see different opinions on the matter)

They also had a problem with Cooper too

Player power is not a good thing.

Can’t start a culture if the players refuse to listen to the manager before the manager is even announced

But it was fine for him to fly out to Copenhagen on the piss when she was 6ish months pregnant?

There's a bit of a difference between pregnancy to when baby has just arrived.

(Speaking from personal experience twice)

I think there's bigger issues at play inside the club, well I know there is than Harry Winks refusing to stay in an 'arbitrary hotel' when he wants to be at home with his wife and their child.

There is obviously a difference. I have two kids myself. But there are also lots of similarities.

He can hardly claim that being a 100% committed family man is the reason he can’t stay at seagrave one night a week when he has such a high profile job on a ridiculous wage when he sees it fine to go to Europe to get drunk with his mates whilst his mrs who is 6months pregnant is on her own.

I agree there's a real terrible streak with the mentality of the players, but I do think that this culture is being set by those at the top.

It's clear that our players need a huge amount of coaching and structure and they enjoy this, hence why Enzo did well last season. Think back to the scenes at Enzo's house as well.

Winks especially relished playing under Maresca and absolutely loved it. I'm under no illusion next season if we get the right manager in, he'll be back to his quality.

I do see your point.

Remember that Copenhagen trip was arranged by the club wasn't it/signed off by those at the top though. Those at the top of the club are allowing people to get away with it.

The decision to bring in Ruud is only one in a series of problems, not the problem. The players have been allowed and encouraged to live in la-la land for years.

We went through the worst relegation in the league’s history two seasons ago.

Everything didn’t magically improve under Enzo, we just played against much worse opposition that flattered our squad’s (and club’s) inflated egos.

So why couldn’t he stay in Leicester when she was pregnant then if it’s not that big of a deal?

Bottom line is it reveals a lot about his character, he’s either a devoted family man or he’s a gimp that won’t be told what to do

The problem you have at this club, I alluded to it in another thread is that we've set a standard and give allowances to everyone based on a squad that achieved the pinnacle for us. We reward players as if they're league winners. Schmeichel did it but his commitment could never really be questioned. I don't think we can really make these allowances for new players - particularly this lot.

Jordan on BSLB touched on a bit of a point in that he thought Winks was a consumate professional, a good egg etc... but thinks otherwise now. The trend I'm spotting is that virtually everyone here seems to get tainted. I really believe if you gave us say, Elanga, Hudson-Odoi etc.. at the time of when Forest signed them, they would likely be completely tailing off as players now. There's something rotten at the core here.

Ruuds trying to create part of that structure by stopping the commute once a week

What chance has the bloke got?

You can see it as that, or you can see it as a clueless manager who has no experience clutching at straws to p*ss off the players for little reason arbitrarily.

My argument about creating a culture at the club would be that Pearson and Ranieri did it by meals out, and creating a band of brothers attitude within the playing squad. I think it's fair to say that our lot respond so much better to this sort of thing.

Ruud should have left months ago. Bloke's a poison.

I know. Pearson got players in who’d fight for the shirt, commanded respect and would fight for him too.

He shipped out the opposites of them- Beckford, Danns. Then he started the team building/ethos

Winks falls into the category of Danns and Beckford. Clearly

Pearson never had an issue with lads doing this and we had a lot making the commute from the North West and I don't think attitudes were really questioned then (apart from Ben Marshall).

If we had Ben Marshall now we'd cling on for five years, loan him to whoever and then release him for nothing at the end.

I think it's been an interesting debate.

We all know that the players we've got haven't got the stomach or fight for it. Sometimes fight and togetherness can make up for a lack of quality.

Considering nailing a “Welcome To Seagrave Spa” sign opposite the training ground.

Please add 'Turn Left For The Kennels' on the sign.

Winks is a dick but you can’t complement Van nistelrooy for this. The man has mismanaged nearly every player in the squad. Skipp, Okoli, Facundo have all suffered under his. Daka looks even shitter. Winks has fallen off a cliff, as has Bilal. Mads now has butter fingers and the rest look even shitter than before.

Whatever he is trying to “instill” here, I don’t want it. You need do one.

Yes they are but they're also human
