And the defensive mistake, we were chasing the win but very lucking not to loose that game. Barnsley really messed up a couple of overloads late on in that game.

The easiest chance was Cullen's miss, that kills the game 2nd half at 2-0

Martin spoke about this in his post match interview. We touched the ball 50 times in their box I think he said.

 

We should have been 3 up at half time, maybe 4.

Slight exaggeration from Martin, I'll give him 2-0. I wouldn't expect the 5' Braybrooke to score that header, it's not his strength, but it was a very good chance. 

 

We did create 4 very good chances before the sending off, alot of the good play started with  Aluko breaking the lines by running with the ball and creating overloads.

 

Did RM mention his huge mistake taking Aluko off at half time, that move was a tactical masterstroke😂

Martin didn’t say we should have been 3/4 up, I did. We absolutely should have, Thomas breaking through, Alves chance and Braybrookes header 2 of them chances should have gone in.

Against 10 men.

 

Opta says we've had 191 touches in the box all season and we rank 4th but we're 1st for possession with 68% on average. We absolutely should have scored more ut finishing isn't the issue when we were already winning against 10. What's the point in trying to tire the opposition out with the zealous brand of possession football if it doesn't work against 10 men? With the way they were pressing they should have been gassed out in the first half.

I think the issue was both poor, slow build up in the second half and poor finishing in the first half. Our substitutions made us worse. I’m not defending him by any stretch, just telling you what he said.

Yes sorry, we should have been 2/3 up but Alves and Braybrooke just don't look like natural finishers to me.

 

I'm not sure why Alves is going with the outside of his foot, should be a simple sidefoot into the far corner. 

 

Riis would bury the Braybrooke header, but he tried to generate the power instead of re-directing the cross. 

 

They really need to work on this during the extended break.
