Really? It follows the pattern of every single academy player that we've had. Aluko had it last season, JJ will get it no doubt sometime soon.

It’s not a surprise but it’s still odd, to be any good our academy players have to be our best players and make no mistakes ever - meanwhile the average players get to plod along

I didn’t watch but sounds like he just had a poor game. Don’t think there’s too much to worry about with him

Victim of what he was asked to do tactically today: in a similar story to that of Alves who was effectively a wingback yesterday.

Having to act the foremost central press as a midfielder (he was often found higher than Riis and Cullen without the ball.) can make it very difficult to influence a game because you’re always having to turn and often behind the game.

It's a fine point, but when people say that Brabrooke's considerably older than Page and should be more advanced in his physical development at this stage, you need to also factor in the time he was out with his injury at a crucial period of his development.

He’s spent all his formative years as a six

he’s now being asked to play as an eight

presumably because the coach doesn’t trust his physical strength as a single pivot which is Russell’s preferred structure

If he wants to really make it a the highest level as a six then he has to improve his core strength.  alternatively a coach who plays more of a double pivot.

Braybrooke may not be the long term solution but he’s very far down on my list of concerns.

He’ll go on to have a good EFL career.

Anyone else remember KDH saying that he consciously worked on his own fitness/physical development to stand out in a pre-season under Rodgers!?

Why do our younger lads appear to not have that mindset anymore?
