This isn't a theme that solely applies to this season but I can't remember the last time we got a result against a side who also played really well. It seems all of our points and especially our wins have been achieved when the opposition have a below par performance. Any opponents we play that are on top of their game walk away with an easy 3 points. Would happily have anyone argue against this?!?

Most recently Swansea, Norwich, Ipswich and Derby were all pretty terrible allowing us the wins.

Put some effort in and run around a bit and you beat us 😅

Yup, musical chairs is definitely our least favourite Christmas game lol

Not really having that about the Derby game. They came at us first few minutes but we actually were up for it and applied ourselves brilliantly.

The mentality just isn't there with this lot. This really needed a man manager. The type of which were scoffed at by everyone on here in the summer.

Sheffield Wednesday - nearly failed to win a game that was harder to not

Charlton - win that probably 10% of the time, fluke

Birmingham - not loads in it, effective
Swansea - similar to Birmingham

Norwich - thought we were the better side over 90 but did take a long time to get going against completely abject opposition

Stoke - similar to Birmingham/Swansea

Derby - first half the best half all season, second half unnecessarily high drop off, but deserved win over 90
Ipswich - similar to Birmingham/Swansea/Stoke and carried by absolute wonder strikers

So most of them I thought were even games we won by virtual of individual quality rather than good coaching or organisation. No clean sheet in 15 games backs that up. The two games we've been well on top were against the bottom two - both of whom we caught at a very good time as well.

Only game we've dropped points in where I thought we were actually the better team was Coventry, bizarrely.

It's complete tripe. This is a bottom half team.

This is the Championship.  Consistency is key.  It's very closely matched.  Ipswich are 3rd in the table and only 6 points ahead of us in 13th.  Most games are won in this division because the opposition has an off day.  There really aren't that many teams that have consistently performed well all season, there are only half a dozen teams so far this season to go on a winning streak of 4 or more games; Coventry and Middlesbrough are two.  The others are Millwall (4 points ahead of us), Derby and Southampton (both level on points with us) and Sheff Utd (5 points behind us).

We've managed back to back wins twice this season which is very disappointing, but Ipswich have only managed it 3 times (and not gone on a 3 game streak yet).

If we were 7 or 8 out of 10 every week, we would be absolutely fine.  Our problem is that there's such variance in our performances, you never know what you're going to get.  On any given day we can give a 9/10 performance, or equally we are just as capable of a 4/10 with the same players.  Nobody can put their finger on it, and haven't been able to for a long, long time.
