I've changed my mind about Mickey

Stephen Dawson, Tommy Wright and Richard Stearman are ready right now, i'd put them all in and drop Dabizas, Gemmill & Dublin. Get Harper in there when fit and we'd have a better team.

Agreed.

We'd also have players that want to play for this club, not has beens here for there money who make no effort what so ever.

I know plenty about Wright no probs.

Can I have your 'expert' synopsis on Dawson and Staerman please...

I think he should go now.

Not for the results or the state of the team though, I reckon we're playing at our level.

I think he should go because why would he want to be associated with a club whose "supporters" call him from a pig to a dog.

He's a better man than that.

When his replacement comes in I hope it's Peter Taylor, as I've said before, the fans get the club they deserve. Some of the comment on here has been ranged from the ludicrous to the well thought out, the latter however has been few and far between.

No doubt you'll all be patting yourselves on the back when he goes, seriously believing that you had a hand in his fate. I never ever thought I'd see a Leicester fan say publicly that he hoped that we lost so the manager got the sack, true loyalty that is.

I agree, which is why in other posts i have said it probably is time for him to walk. I just get fed up of certain people on this board who blame adams for absolutly everything, without taking into account any contributing factors. I think the guy has done well for us considering what he has had to put up with during his time here and he deserves someone to stick up for him a bit.

I am so very sorry for knocking MA's ability as a manager, and you are so right.

I have seen the light, how dare we, the fans, demand that this pleasant and agreeable man is sacked?

Who on earth do we think we are?

I can't believe how disloyal I have been, and would like to apologise to everybody.

Keep the faith and Micky.

I will still be there to watch Micky and the lads playing in the Conference, no doubt.

Think your over reacting to what he said... There is no way we would get relegated!!! So far we have been shocking, but we are still ahead of or one point behind other teams people had down as favourites this year.

Are the results and the performances down to just micky, or could it also be down to a team taking time to gel? Look at Leeds virtually a whole new team like us and they are struggling to put a few performances together. I doubt the leeds fans are on the managers back!!

22042

Babylon it's more than that. Desire is the word that strings to mind. The body language of the players isn't positive, they aren't properly motivated willing to fight for the cause by any means necessary.,

You can have the best team in Div 1 on paper but if their hearts aren't in it whats the use??

Times up, we been shocking for a long time now. When was the last time you thought we played really well and totally dominated the game? This has got to happen' in Div1 mate with our fans (sort of), stadium and players

Just think of Roy Keane, Stephen Dawson has the potential to be him. Box to box player, gets stuck in, excellent passer, defends well, attacks well and scores good goals. We need this sort of player alongside Gareth Williams if we want him to perform, to his ability.

Richard Stearman as Micky Adams said is the best young player he's worked with, and to hear that from Micky Adams who doesnt give any young players chances must mean something! Play him alongside Keown would do him the world of good, for him and for us, the future could be bright here :(

I know what you mean, but I've stuck up for him so much and he's ran out of lives with me.

It's very hard when I live in Bristol and have my weekend ruined week in week out when going up to liecs on the train(s) and coming home feeling like I've been sodomised.

Football is supposed to be entertaining, I get more out of entertaining myself at the moment!

Micky Adams did a great job in his first year when we got promoted, last year we were relegated which was pretty much expected but it was the nature of some of the defeats like Wolves, Villa etc and the way we capitulated in games Wolves, Southampton, Middlesboro etc that was the biggest concern.

Last season these blips were put down to the difference in class whats the excuse this year ?

Remember it is not only this season's poor results but also that horrific run from December onwards when we won only twice in the league, and that is why now is the time for Micky to go.

He is a decent bloke who has done a reasonable job in difficult circumstances but this season we had bought well the board had backed him and given him the resources to assemble probably the strongest squad in the division and yet at present we are a shambles. Our disciplinary record is disgraceful, we cannot hold leads teams think we are a soft touch, who honestly feels confident even when we are 3-0 up ?

Adams seems to have lost that zest and enthusiasm for the job since La manga and I now feel things have gone stagnet. Micky is a good manager but it is not working here and possibly he is more suited to a smaller club, with an underdog tag.

I dont hate Micky but things must change, we cannot cling to what he did two seasons ago. It is now that is important and things must change.

I can only think Hull and Craig don't follow City like some of us do.  What a load of sentimental crap.  he's paid a lot of money to do the job he does, and he's not doing it very well at present.

I pay a lot of money to watch this crap bland football, and when we're being constantly out-played and out-fought by the likes of Brighton and QPR then I am likely to start losing my patience.

Go to more games, from NOW and see how long it takes you to draw the same conclusions.

That's exactly the sort of tripe that comes out.

Season ticket holder, watched them for 20 plus years, get to half the away games.

After reading the first few lines i could no longer make myself read the rest of that post.

You dont care how we play?

I pay my money to watch football, if i want to see a load of has beens hoof the ball up and down a field ill go and watch the Fosse team. ;)

21977

If you don't read the whole post why bother commenting on it?

I enjoy watching us score goals, I enjoy watching a midfielder putting in a good tackle, I even enjoy a bit of defensive skill such as a goalie making a good save. Sure I'd prefer if we played Arsenal-style and won, but that isn't as major an issue for me as winning. I find a hoofed goal more entertaining than 10 passes through midfield before losing the ball, so shoot me. Wigan hoof all the time and look where they are, I know there will be certain people who are never satisfied but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't mind the hoof as much if we were sitting at the top of the table and banging in goals left, right and centre.

'plays unattractive football' is not a good enough reason to sack a manager at our level, 'doesn't get results' is.

21993

Well said Louise. I don't always agree with your views but you know how to construct an argument and make people think.

At least those that are capable of doing so.

That's okay, you're forgiven.

Always nice to have a convert on board, even the sarcastic ones.

Another well thought out post Hoof.

I'm sure that speaking on behalf both of the Mickey supporters on this board we can fully accept your sentiment. It's a shame that not everyone is capable of stringing more than two sentences together without resorting to character assassination.

After hearing Micky Adams interview on saturday I really felt sorry for the man, it was pity if anything. I was Micky's biggest fan the season we got promoted and I got behind him last season when things were going wrong. Now, you can look at things rationally or irationally. If you manage a football team, your job description will state that you are responsible for your playing staff and making them perform to a satisfactory level. Now if the players really wanted to they could **** things up for Micky and deliberately play badly but I doubt they are doing that, as Micky signed most of them and if they didn't respect him then they wouldn't of signed for us. But if you look at the players we have at our disposal, we are blessed with enough talent and experience to walk this league.

I know just because we have a good squad of players doesn't mean we will automatically perform well, but that's where the manager comes in. If the manager has enough about him and a good relationship and bond between the players and all surroundings of the club then chances are the team will perform. Good managers can often end up getting the sack for not performing, it's the nature of the beast. There have been alot better managers than Micky Adams be sacked from a club for under achieving and they have then gone in to another job and performed miracles. That's football for you, it's such a complex situation to be in as a manager. If you aren't tactically astute and you aren't pulling in the same direction as the rest of the club then there's going to be toruble.

Micky Adams isn't a bad manager, he's young and he's learning and he was superb for us in the first season. He was excellent at Brighton and i'm sure he'll be successful for another club in the future, but too much has happened at Leicester now and I just can't see a future for him at Citeh anymore. He's been through alot of shit at this club and I thought he handled the situations brilliantly, but this season is one step to far. I think he's losing the dressing room, he's definately lost the support of the fans and that more often than not results in a dead man walking scenario.

There's been alot of harsh stuff written on here about Adams, but it's mainly out of frustration. At the end of the day we are all Leicester fans and we all want us to succeed and when we aren't doing things are said, inevitably. The harsh reality is that whoever you are, if you are a manager of a football club and you aren't succeeding then you are going to get criticism and you are eventually going to get the push!

Adams just isn't pulling the strings at the minute, Dion Dublin, David Connolly, Gareth Williams, Joey Gudjonsson, Martin Keown, Nikos Dabizas, Danny Tiatto, Lilian Nalis and a few others are all talented footballers, especially at this level we are playing at and there aren't any excuses why they are playing badly. It falls down to the manager, it's his responsibility to sort it out and he's appearing incapable of doing that and if that isn't evidence or reason for him to go then I don't know what is.

Forget all the abuse that's been written and said, the results and facts speak volumes. We are vastly under-achieveing considering the players we have got, Micky isn't showing any signs of being in control or any signs of being capable of learning from his mistakes hence he's got to go.

Sorry Micky, your a nice chap and thankyou for all you've done for the club. No hard feelings mate, it's been a pleasure.

Gary McCallister has entered the building, not my choice but it will happen.
