I have a feeling today is one of those days where something spectacular goes wrong. Some feelings:

  • Portsmouth score from the kickoff
  • Fatawu sent off for either horror tackle of arguing with ref / lino
  • A fight between our players
  • Horrible own goal (slow backpass or something)
  • Lose 6-0

We have this habit of having horrific away days from time to time. Today has the hallmarks of one.

They’re definitely going 1-0 in less than a minute!

I've had all emotion drained out of my love for football, but I'd rather see us lose 5-0 than another draw, just to see the players humiliated

Me and a few likeminded fans who think we  can win today are meeting near the stairs of block MN in the Portsmouth away end 15 minutes before kick off I’ve brought my Bluetooth mini speaker and I’m going to be playing HARD-FI: Living for the weekend followed by BON JOVI: Keep The Faith before we march out and face the Pompey fans!

We're either going to stumble to the usual inept brain fart display that might see us have more of the ball but do nothing with it and fail to deal with something simple.  Or we're going to totally dick them to maintain the cruel and unusual punishment of this season still having a glimmer.

On closer inspection though, that will be the glimmer of flies wings hovering around shit.

This is the only way everyone potentially turns for me, if we get a proper thrashing…..

Josh Murphy is at least out for this, but they are now back at full strength at the back so given what little threat we pose up front and the fact that we are largely incapable of conceding, the prospect of getting anything from this encounter is unlikely.

Fratton Park has always been an intimidating prospect but oddly Pompey's poor home form has been one of the reasons that they have been hauled into a relegation battle.
