Welcome back Leicester

Recommended Posts

Ever since The Worthington cup run, and a mutationous cup run under Taylor, we have not had a proper cup run. Adams and Basset treated the cup as something of a devil, however one thing Levein has done since he has taken over is put back that cup specialist tag into our team. This win will also be a advertisment for any players waiting to be lured to this club, and maybe Ryan Smith will consider us if it does not work out at arsenal-He was delighted at the final whistle.

This win has given Levein some Breathing space, this win did show up some real problems in the side, (apart from needing a new striker !)

However it is great to support the real Leicester Again, the cup specialists :D

That might have something to do with him being a gooner.

You gotta love young Smudger... he seems to have taken Leics to his heart. He was the first to jump on CL and give him a big hug at the final whistle and the smile on his face when he came over to the Kop after the match said it all.

In the unlikely event that he'll stay with us after his loan period then he's got the potential to become a true legend at this club.

So we agree that there are contradictions in that first paragraph, no?

Anyway...

1) Bassett took over a shit team and they weren't good enough to run out for a cup of tea let alone the FA Cup.

2) Micky led a promotion campaign followed by an attempt to stave off relegation--methinks he had other things on his mind (and for good reason). I bet the last thing he wanted on his fixtures list in Jan. 2004 was a replay.

It is nice to see the boys get such a good result yesterday but a good cup run would look even better combined with an improved performance in the league. I don't know what MON means by "breathing space," because when I look at the Coca-Cola Football League Championship table, I don't see any. The team must carry the momentum from Sunday into the Sheffield Wednesday game and beyond. I'm hoping that the Spurs game will finally be that turning point we've all wanted since relegation in '04, even if they crash out against Southampton next round (though of course they'll glide through to the 5th round :)).
