I can honestly see McCarthy, Gerrbrand, Maybury, Stearman, Sylla, Hume, Douglas (perhaps a good thing), Johansson, Gudjonsson and perhaps elvis leaving. Ric Flair Posted 16 January 2006 Share Posted 16 January 2006 Financially we'll have to get rid of most of them other than the real young'uns like Hume, Fryatt, etc. But even they are bound to have some takers and the board will snap their hand off. I think if we go down (which i'm quietly confident we will do) then we will have massive problems. Bigger problems than Man City, Sheff Wed and Forest had to face when they dropped down to the hellish League One. Might be a blessing in disguise though, that extra couple of grand I probably spend on the football each season could pay for 2 weeks in the caribbean or lob the lot down the casino and see what happens. So far it seems to be: 1) Spend all money, some of which on bright, young strikers I won't use. The rest to be used buying all my mates who aren't getting a game in Scotland. 2) Get relegated. 3) Get sacked. 4) Spend compo money. 5) Get another job. 6) Repeat step 1. I'm sure Fryatt, Joey, Williams, Hughes, Hume, McCarthy, Johansson, Douglas, Maybury, Sylla and more will find other clubs. Only good thing is it might give players like O'Grady, Sheehan, Chambers, Logan etc a chance to play for the team thus adding players who have developed throuhg the youth tema and are much more likely to want to play for the club.
