gagandeep Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews...=TMNW&id=166730 Leicester’s Micky Adams has done nothing but whinge and moan this week having a go at a Premiership club and Danny Coyne who has joined the Clarets. Mick Adams - not happy with Norwich or Danny Coyne Norwich City have reacted strongly to his accusations of them trying to unsettle James Scowcroft and not going through the proper channels to record their interest. The Canaries have refuted them strongly. Then he has a go at Danny Coyne over his move to the Clarets, this after he agreed to continue for a couple of weeks to cover on their tour of Finland and Estonia. Adams said of his move to Turf Moor, “If I'm honest I have to say I'm disappointed in Danny. We offered him a one-year contract when he came from Grimsby last summer but he said he wanted a two-year deal so we gave it to him. Now, after one year, he wants to go." The Leicester boss added: "I wouldn't say he goes with my best wishes either because he gave me a problem I could well have done without this summer." This supposed problem for a club with three other keepers was resolved with the signing of the former Sheffield Wednesday keeper Kevin Pressman. It was a wonderful piece of business as they pipped Accrington Stanley for his signature at the last minute. Of course Adams’ club Leicester do everything above board don’t they? Has he forgotten their administration and debt wiping of 2002? He’ll certainly be at it again this week if David Connolly chooses to join Sunderland. Mick McCarthy thinks he can persuade the West Ham striker to join him but Adams has already said that if he does leave West Ham it will be for the Walkers Stadium. i think that the administration myth is going to get brought up again this season, clubs think that we cheated our way to promotion. which is bulshit. and adams is right about coyne, if he wanted a 2 year contract and we had offered him one, then he says after 1 year he wants to go, whats the point. but i agree on one point, we should never have signed pressman!
Scow Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 For a start, we didn't have 3 keepers. We had Walker, one youngster, and a TRIALIST! And then they have a swipe at Administration. Why are people so ignorant?

Mark Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 All he has done is moan though, pissing me right off. He needs telling by someone to just shut up, who cares! Everyone felt sorry for him last season, nothing has happened for anyone to feel sorry for him yet, pre season
Guest Guest Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 Yeah, stop moaning Micky Stop trying to protect our squad from some shite team who are trying to unsettle our players Stop trying to defend our club all the time God, you're rubbish Adams
Guest i_godzuki Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 Maybe it's because you did cheat yourselves up (irrespective of what caused you to go into admin), Adams never stops moaning, and you play dreadful football. I used to have a soft spot for Leicester. Not any more.
Mark Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 Adams never stops moaning, and you play dreadful football. Very true. I hate it as much as you do. Whoever you are? Drop the cheating your way up though eh? We're back down now so whats it matter. We did no wrong anyway as far as i remember.

Drop the cheating your way up though eh? We're back down now so whats it matter. We did no wrong anyway as far as i remember. Fair enough. I'm actually a Forest fan, but I have no problems with Derby or Leicester most of the time. Having spent most of the last decade in London, I'd rather East Midlands teams do well. I checked out the board to see if you'd got Connolly yet. But I have been a bit disappointed with Adams lately. He seemed to come across quite well a couple of years ago, but lately he seems to be acting quite strangely what with his attacking Coyne and Norwich, and announcing transfers before they're completed. Also, given that Leicester are now in Div1 and have parachute payments, surely there's no reason not to start playing more attractive football? Having said all that, I'm really looking forward to the season. It promises to be really open. Do you guys realistically think you're good enough to go up?
Mark Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 I dont know. Certainly not automatic cause it looks like we messed up with Connolly, and now Mawene, that was Mickys decision though and yet another one i disagree with. He takes him on a trial, but he didnt with the likes of Hignett and a few other oldies that turned out failures. I used to like Adams a lot, but since we got promoted his constant moaning and decision making last season was shocking really. Hopefully he'll learn from the decision making, and at least last season he had things to moan about cause it was a disaster really. But pre season? Whats the problem? He's a football manager, he chose to do this he has to learn to get on with things! I want us to play attractive football, but it aint happening. Even with Williams in the team now, its been such a long time since we did it regularly i cant imagine enjoying watching us pass the ball around again.
Hullfox Posted 19 July 2004 Posted 19 July 2004 Petrescu Methinks you might need to find another team to support. LCFC and Mickey seem to make you a very angry person and thats not good for the blood pressure especially in one so young.
87fox Posted 20 July 2004 Posted 20 July 2004 It really pisses me off when people say we cheated our way out of administration. Whoever wrote that article on that Burnley site is a ****ing dick and an ignorant twat.

Guest i_godzuki Posted 20 July 2004 Posted 20 July 2004 I appreciate LCFC didn't choose to go into admin, but it's fair to say Leciester beneifted from going into admin, is it not? That's why Forest and Derby are still grappling with large debts and LCFC are not. Hanging on to the likes of Muzzy Izzet was a big factor in your promotion season. It's partly why you could sign Williams, Keown etc and why the League changed the rules.
Mark Posted 20 July 2004 Posted 20 July 2004 Hanging on to the likes of Muzzy Izzet was a big factor in your promotion season. Sorry we couldnt force him out of the club. We transfer listed him, we accepted bids, he just didnt want to go. So shut up with your shit, we did all we could, we sold who we could and we signed no one.

Like **** did we benefit from going into administration? We were hours away from not having a bloody club anymore. We had to make hundreds of non-playing staff redundant who had worked at the club their whole lives. What Leicester City did is we pulled together and we made the best out of a bad situation.
Hullfox Posted 20 July 2004 Posted 20 July 2004 We had to make hundreds of non-playing staff redundant who had worked at the club their whole lives. Not entirely convinced about the mathematics involved Pipes. If it's right, then there's no wonder we were in trouble.
