I didn't know whether to laugh or cry - I thought it was a sick joke at first.

I'm just relieved at the thought it's only on a temporary basis, but who knows?

Ask any Sunderland fan, or refer to the posts on here, and you can see their reaction to him. He's even more of a dinosaur than Bassett! Old school managers that are so far behind in modern football thinking.

I was happy that Micky resigned, but I'm not happy with this move. Dare I say it, I would rather have kept Micky on if we were gonna have this management team in place until we find a new manager.

The boo's will carry on until it's sorted trust me. The fans that loved Micky will be out in force and the fans that wanted Micky out will also be increasingly disgusted at Wilko and Bassett. I think there will be monumental chaos down at the walkers.

Some people say oh its only temporary, if this partnership of Arry and Wilko starts to win games they will be appointed permanently, being as its the cheapest option, i can seriously see this happening, and if it did wouldn't Leicester City be a side looking to the future.

Sometimes a change really does get things going, whoever it is who comes in. But long term is when the manager gets found out, I have seen this happen before. I don't think Bassett or Wilko will get it full-time unless City have serious problems bringing someone in. The board have said they are looking for a new manager and so has Bassett, they wouldn't say it if they were prepared to let Bassett have a bash. Us fans are getting nervous because of the mess we are in, we need to look forward. Adams has gone and it was inevitable Harry would stay on temporarily. Chill

I'm loving this.

3 good results and they could get appointed to the end of the season, at which stage Peter Taylor will have completed his contract at Hull City.

Bring it on.

It's only temporary so calm down!

Wilkinson will just try and get them fired up again, good luck to him.

The voice of reason speaks!

I know the combo of Bassett and Wilko is rubbish, but give them a chance. They know they aren't going to be the next manager of LCFC, so let's just get behind them until the new manager is appointed. Or at least do not boo them until they have made major f**k ups or we've lost heavily.

exactly my point whats the point of booing them, fair enough Adams wasnt working you gave him a chance it didnt work we got him out but with Wilko and Bassett give them a ****ing chance and get behind the team

why go now if u are only going to boo grow up yes we are all alittle unsure of the future but thats the future it will sort its self out.

get behind the team

as for the 2 running it now take a hard look at that head of his (wilko) he is not going to take any shit from the players!!

before we get a new man in lets get our house in order first which is why i think he is here

but long term please god no not with bassett and wilko. i must sadly admit i love good old harry :w00t:

At Sunderland we found that that was exactly what he was unable to do.

In some ways I felt sorry for him, he tried everything he knew, but he is so out of date in tactics and in management - faced with a club in serious decline, like we were when he joined, his methods were to show the players videos of geese flying and passing a nettle to Tore Andre Flo in the dressing room. He is not the man, even on a short-term basis, to try and arrest the decline of a modern football club.

Our relegation that year wasnt his fault - it had been coming for a couple of years before that under reid - but he did nothing whatsoever to sort it out.

The next week will see the future become much clearer, two good wins away at Cov and then against bogey team Ipswich could put 'Arry and Wilko seriously in the frame. The more likely draw and loss will accelerate the arrival of the new man, probably Gary Mac (although I still think we should try for Gary Johnson)
