SystonFox Posted 6 April 2006 Posted 6 April 2006 anyone seen this film? went to see it yesterday and its a fantastic watch, great acting, action, twists and storyline. its about a guy who wants to rob a bank but ends up taking 50+ people hostage. clive owen, denzel washington, willem dafoe and jodie foster are in it. best film of the year so far for me, lucky number slevin came close but different strokes...

Yes, watched it last week on a Friday. Was pleasantly surprised, never been the biggest Spike Lee fan. But since 25th Hour (which I think was a great piece of storytelling) and shifting away from the Black-only point of view, he has tremendously improved. "Inside Man" does a great job at twisting the story. Great actors, too. Want to see more of Willem Dafoe, he just has that wonderfully unique face... I'm a big Clive Owen fan. Great guy, great character, totally peaceful and easygoing. If you ever have the chance, watch the commercials he did a couple of years ago for BMW, especially the one directed by Guy Ritchie. :mrgreen: "Lucky Number Slevin" doesn not appeal to me ever since I saw the trailer. And I just can't watch Morgan Freeman's displays any more, he's been overused.

Clive Owen did two seasons for BMW Films, in 2001 and 2002 (to promote a total of three different new cars for the company). BMW Film "Ambush" BMW Film "Chosen" BMW Film "Hostage" BMW Film "Devil" BMW Film "The Follow" (Check out Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima in that one! She's hot!) BMW Film "Ticker" I'm not an insider, but that was at a time when Owen was still pretty much unknown outside of England. His role in "Croupier" got the whole thing going. I would rather have him play a new Bond than Mr. Craig...
The People's Hero Posted 7 April 2006 Posted 7 April 2006 I like Clive Owen... he was great in Croupier and I think he'd make a great Bond as Alex has suggested. Haven't seen Inside Man yet but it looks like it's worth watching.
