Phube Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 I was in my seat with 20 minutes to the kick off (as always), the game kicks off and the three people who sit in front trudge past, we say hello to each other. Next thing we know we've scored!! No idea who, how or why?? Nobody around me knew either, EVERONE in my little area missed it!! What actually happened, I can't wait 'til tommorow to know!!
SystonFox Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 i saw it quickest goal in leicesters history. he has set a record and lets hope he sets many more. isnt it a shame he didnt score that chance he got later on in the 1st half. Nash made a good save

Nash made a good save Glad to say I saw it, unbelievable! makes up for me looking at Hume on the floor when I missed Joeys half way line goal
Jamesino_LCFC Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 Well I was still standing up whilst most of the people around me sat down whilst I was chanting '....ONE ROB KELLY, WALKING ALONG, SINGING A SONG..' and then I looked up and Fryatt was through and he slotted! So I missed the build up but not the actual goal... was it a defensive mistake?
DaveyJ Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 Well I was still standing up whilst most of the people around me sat down whilst I was chanting '....ONE ROB KELLY, WALKING ALONG, SINGING A SONG..' and then I looked up and Fryatt was through and he slotted! So I missed the build up but not the actual goal... was it a defensive mistake? It was simply a great through ball.
Teeno Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 I saw it and just after he scored I looked up at the time and I made it 7 seconds. Great start shame we didn't make anything of it.
holly Posted 15 April 2006 Posted 15 April 2006 yep i saw it, prob the best ball williams has ever made (ok that sounds harsh but i know what i mean)!! thats how we should try and do it all the time 3 touches and home it goes hehe!!
simtacular Posted 16 April 2006 Posted 16 April 2006 I saw it and just after he scored I looked up at the time and I made it 7 seconds. Great start shame we didn't make anything of it. i made 9 seconds when it hit the net
Deathside Posted 16 April 2006 Posted 16 April 2006 Saw it on The Championship this morning Saw the ball cross the line yesterday - but nothing else of it because I was looking in the direction of the dug out whilst everyone was singing One Rob Kelly
Chairman of the Bored Posted 16 April 2006 Posted 16 April 2006 Funnily enough, I also saw the one he scored for Walsall after 7 seconds last season (vs Bournemouth). Walsall went onto lose that one 1-2 to prove lightening can strike twice in the same place and that sometimes you can score too early.
The Stig Posted 16 April 2006 Posted 16 April 2006 I admit it I completely missed it, i looked up just as it was rolling past the line, i was reading the programme!! Saw it on sky though this morning!!
Thracian Posted 17 April 2006 Posted 17 April 2006 I missed the build-up because some arsehole was clambering past me into his seat.
Vo Rogue Posted 17 April 2006 Posted 17 April 2006 I missed the build-up because some arsehole was clambering past me into his seat. Shit. Hope it wasnt me.Can tell you Thrac it was a great goal.
Thracian Posted 17 April 2006 Posted 17 April 2006 Shit. Hope it wasnt me.Can tell you Thrac it was a great goal. Thanks. I actually saw the scoring shot, just missed the build up. It was the two blokes on my right missed the goal and the latecomer wasn't popular.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 19 April 2006 Posted 19 April 2006 Just discovered that the fastest goal ever in the league was also scored by someone called Fryatt for Bradford Park Avenue.
Wezleylowski Posted 19 April 2006 Posted 19 April 2006 4 seconds. it is crazy scoring so early .Before you can get your bearings you have scored.personally i saw it,but sadly missed the build up must have been a fantastic through ball.nice to see williams doing something for once instead of spectating.shame about the outcome.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 19 April 2006 Posted 19 April 2006 4 seconds was the Bradford PA Fryatt, not Matty. If you add the 7 seconds goal at Walsall, the 4 seconds goal at Bradford PA and the 9 seconds goal vs PNE that's a hat trick in 20 seconds! However, the record for a hat-trick in the League is Jamie Hayter, 3 in 2 mins 20 secs vs Wrexham last season. Amazingly, I was there for that as well!
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 19 April 2006 Posted 19 April 2006 Just discovered that the fastest goal ever in the league was also scored by someone called Fryatt for Bradford Park Avenue. were you at this game too?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 19 April 2006 Posted 19 April 2006 Of course not, it didn't involve Leicester or Bournemouth. I think I was passing the ground at the time though......
