Ricey Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 Leicester City Squad 2004/05 1. Ian Walker 2. Peter Canero 3. Danny Tiatto 4. Nikos Dabizas 5. Martin Keown 6. Matthew Heath 7. Keith Gillespie 8. Lilian Nalis 9. Dion Dublin 10. James Scowcroft 11. Jordan Stewart 16. Gareth Williams 18. Matthew Elliott 19. David Connolly 20. Trevor Benjamin 21. Jason Wilcox 23. Tommy Wright 27. Lee Morris 30. Conrad Logan 36. Kevin Pressman They are just numbers so you can't read into them too much but i'm disapointed we didn't retire the number 6 shirt after Muzzy, instead we give it to Matt Heath!!

Kevin Pressman They are just numbers so you can't read into them too much but i'm disapointed we didn't retire the number 6 shirt after Muzzy, instead we give it to Matt Heath!! we never retired the number 5 shirt when Walshy left....he's more of a legend than Muzz I'm afraid. Players leave, their numbers become vacant....as much as I wanted it to go to some cracking midfielder, it's gone to hoooooooooooooof it Heath. But we'll get over it. Morris from 24 to 27 seems strange and just Logan of the youngsters getting a number...
filbertway Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 i think if dublin dont stay on next year then connolly should have the number 9 shirt. Sorry if that remark seems pointless, i just felt the need to post something
Cobbo Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 i think if dublin dont stay on next year then connolly should have the number 9 shirt. Sorry if that remark seems pointless, i just felt the need to post something fair play to you but there's a number of things that could happen, Scowy and Nalis are out of contract...maybe freeing up 8 and 10 too...
filbertway Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 when i think of a player in a number 10 shirt i think of good players who can play the game. And then you look at the person who wears it for us and that whole thought/philosophy goes out the window.
Scow Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 when i think of a player in a number 10 shirt i think of good players who can play the game. And then you look at the person who wears it for us and that whole thought/philosophy goes out the window. Not neccessarily. Giving the number 6 shirt to Heath is disgraceful, you should be ashamed of yourself, Micky. ::
filbertway Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 Yeh that to, why did he need to change heaths numbers, thats what i dont get. I dont really mind, but i feel it should hav gone to a good midfield player.
Ash Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 I see the legends number 22 has been retired .....27 Morris on the back of my shirt then

Scow Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 Cottee and Claridge are ahead of Heskey in my top 5 :eicester strikers; and Dickov is about on par with Heskey Dickov on par with Heskey? Heskey was instrumental in our top 10 finishes under O'Neill - Granted, he didn't get the goals, but he contributed so much more than that......
Ricey Posted 21 July 2004 Author Posted 21 July 2004 Cottee and Claridge are ahead of Heskey in my top 5 :eicester strikers; and Dickov is about on par with Heskey In order: 1 - Heskey 2 - Dickov 3 - Cottee 4- Claridge

Cobbo Posted 21 July 2004 Posted 21 July 2004 Cottee and Claridge are ahead of Heskey in my top 5 :eicester strikers; and Dickov is about on par with Heskey In order: 1 - Heskey 2 - Dickov 3 - Cottee 4- Claridge No chance. Get Dickov right out of that top 4 if we're talking top 5 of all time I doubt any of them would feature... Worthington, Rowley, Chandler, Smith, Ormondroyd , Phil Gee :: , Lineker!, Sammels, Dougan.
