Anish Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 Stick with Pressman, doubt Logan will do much better, Walkers prone to howlers but I dont see any of you calling for his head. 32733[/snapback] It's a gut reaction Durnerz - I'll wait til I see the goal first before reiterating my views on Pressman. But if RadioLEicester is anything to go by (considering they never slate players) - they blamed Pressman, so it must have been bad. And for all Walkers' howlers, you would not see him concede the bizarre goal that Preston's GK scored.

Funny how no one remembers his world class saves to keep us in the game vs Stoke!

Logan is shit im afraid, i've seen him more times than the majority on here, and IMO hes shocking. Walker > Pressman > Logan.

And also for their 2nd goal he ddint not command the area like walker does. He is past it, we should give a younger keeper a chance. He has done okay, but look at the ipswich keeper, his full debut and made some world-class saves.

But it still wasn't as bad as the Preston keeper scoring IMO - nor was Walker's cockup that led to him being sent off vs Brum last season. Pressman has made some outstanding saves this season, and I accept that he is a terrific shotstopper. But when it comes to shots fizzled on the ground, he does look dodgy. He has cost us some goals - the Preston goal, he should have saved at least 1 of the QPR goals, and Matt Heath's O.G was partly down to Pressman for coming to claim a cross which he completely flapped at. Walker is by far the better keeper when it comes to consistency and aerial ability. I'm afraid Pressman's ability to command the area and give confidence to the defence is nowhere near as good as Walker's.

He made an excellent save vs Ipswich, he is slow off his line, I do criticise that, but his shot stopping and kicking accuracy are superb, I hardly think putting a young keeper in between the sticks will change much,as the first mistake he makes idiots like you will be calling for him to be dropped.

Guest Daniel Posted 2 November 2004 Posted 2 November 2004 Just got back from the game. Alot better football wise and a good team selectin. We didnt look at all dangerous though, dissapointed with that final pass. Gillespie wasnt very good at all, neither was Connolly tonight. Lee Morris came on and did pretty well and Tiatto gave 110% just he kept trying the same ball across to Scowcroft that didnt work. Pressmas was awful and looked shit everytime the ball came to him, made me worry alot. Especially with Crewe signing 'Theres only one kevin pressman' he was about there best player. Song of the night : Get your tits out for the lads (sung to pressman)
Scarby Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Bugger!!! all these fecking draws we must be on some kind of league record!!! Even bloody Scarboro lost out on a trip to MK Dons by losing 1-0 to lancaster. Scarboro played shite!! What a crap night! giving away leads again, same old leicester
Ash Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Pressman may of been abit at fault for there second goal , but he stopped them taking the lead a few times in the game ,so i have forgave him
Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Alot better performance, but there is still alot of work to be done. I don't think any of us realise how bad Micky Adams really was, he obviously installed no confidence or pride in any of the players and wasn't overly bothered whether the players were here for the money or to actually play football. There was alot better commitment, but still the usual errors each game that cost us two points. I honestly think some of the players need pyschological help, they just go in to destruct mode when we are winning. Connolly astounds me, looks a quality player but if he was a natural finisher he'd have 30 goals already this season. How many chances is he going to miss before he suddenly starts raking them in? Dickov was proof of a player that wasn't prolific but worked at his shooting and became lethal, Connolly is meant to be prolific but whens it going to happen? He must be the unluckiest striker in the world, he hit the post twice and had two efforts close together in the first half that he should of scored. Apparently he had 3 efforts at Cardiff, about ten against Ipswich and a horrendous amount against plenty of other teams, e.g. Watford, West Ham and Sheffield United. Why has he only got two goals? I can't work it out, please somebody do something.
