The price will fall periodically anyway so just wait till you can afford one.

In my opinion, coming from someone who has worked using the ps3 and xbox360, the ps3 is by far the superior machine potentially. People get too boged down with specs, you are only playing games the developers make and the ps3 is superior to work on and you can get more out of it simpler!

The Wii sorry to say is going to have problems with the new gimmic controler. I dont think Nintendo are too sure about it either - they have included ports for the Gamecube controlers to be used!

One of those gimmicks that Sony decided to copy at the last minute (really badly I might add!!!) and lost the rumble feature because of it and didn't even bother to tell developers!!!!

P.s. The Wii has GC controller ports because it has the ability to play GC discs (in the same disc reader) therefore you need somewhere to plug in your old controller!!!

Just because a system is backwards compatable does not mean that the old controlers are needed, the system can be coded to suit the new controller.

Believe me it was not a last minute decision, there were alot of ideas on the table about the controller - by the time pr release the info to the public. That long boomerang style controller had been dropped about a year ago, but mags etc. where still using it - they even had a mock up of it they used at demos.

But as you may have noticed the new controller doesn't have normal funtions, anyway if you don't want to use the old GC controller you can use the new shell controller just as well!!

If Sony has been working on the GBA Tilt and Roll technology (6 years old for a Kirby game!) for over a year why does only one game support it, pretty badly, and none of the developers knew about it!!

Only one game at release, not bad for a feature, its not the entire controller concept like Nintendos therefore you will not get loads of games supporting it initially.

Who told you none of the developers knew about it....

It is going to last, its supperior capabilities over the HD-DVD and the fact that its got support from companies like Sony, Dell, Samsung, MGM, Walt Disney and game companies like EA.

...and our betamax worked bloomin well too. :P

Sometimes markets become very unpredictable because people act irrationally. This has the potential to be one of those moments because everyone is concerned that everyone else will not buy into blu-ray. As much as I'd like one I reckon I'm going to throw my money at the new Mindstorms NXT set instead :D , maye be a year later I'll see whether it has survived to any great extent.

You could be right, but i think the industry will start to force people to, like only releasing films on blue-ray, games etc. I think that is what will slowly start happening with HD-TV, stations will start to only broadcast in HD at some stage and force the market!

Well I didn't hear one developer say at E3 that they knew about it, infact one was most put out by the lack of a rumble feature!!

Not all is revealed at E3 thats just a pr stunt - try to get round some of the lesser known ones, thats where the actions at!
