Tommeh Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 i think this will be an awesome match, wouldnt be surprised if Germany won with the crowd behind them
Ric Flair Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 There have been some big matches this World Cup that have failed to live up to their billing, but I think this game could be a classic. I hope so, I hate both teams so atleast one of them will be going home. I have a feeling Germany will beat them.

The odds Argentina or Germany to win on penalties both 10/1 Argentina or Germany to win aet both 9/1 Worth a fiver I think!

Maybes Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 The germans they have done it!! Miroslav Klose is turning into a machine.
Thracian Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I've talked long and hard about teams falling back on defence and Argentina are the latest example. Are all managers mentally deficient these days?. Once they'd scored the Argies should have gone at them like a room full of scarab beatles.
Sparky Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I've talked long and hard about teams falling back on defence and Argentina are the latest example. Are all managers mentally deficient these days?. in fairness its easy to watch a match and talk about it , totally different trying to implement it
Magictv Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Wahoo go Germany Deuschland clap clap clap Deuschland clap clap clap Deuschland clap clap clap!!!!!
Thracian Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 in fairness its easy to watch a match and talk about it , totally different trying to implement it Speak for yourself. But having expressed that point of view would you explain to me why, if you been managing a team that has passed the opposition to death and taken the lead, you would ever, logically, fall back on defence? And don't suggest I would because it would never, ever enter my f.....g head.. Having watched the shoot out the Argentinian coach should resign before his players are out out of the dressing room. Losing a match is one thing, but surrendering in such an imbecilic manner is indefensible.
Northants Fox Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I see the Argentines can't lose gracefully, fighting at the end. SOUR GRAPES maybe
Daggers Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 Hasta luego Argentina, un otro vez! I was thinking how I'd like to play Argentina as they looked beatable - and, hey, didn't Germany just go ahead and prove it! Roll on a replay of '66!
Magictv Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 tut tut Argentina fail to control their temper when they lose, oh dear, oh dear XD

The thing i like to see tomorrow is for the French to beat the Brazilians.
Thracian Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I see the Argentines can't lose gracefully, fighting at the end. SOUR GRAPES maybe I suppose you would lose gracefully to the Germans. The joys of being young, I imagine. Personally I'd have felt like following that Italian guy out of a high rise tower block - especially if I'd missed one of the penalties. I'd have never forgiven myself, never forgiven my teammates and never forgiven my manager for his poxy tactics. PS: This text is much revised and moderated.

May i thank you for that first line, if only i was young again, at 42 i'm getting on a bit. As for the Germans, i'm happy they've won as that means one of the South Americans are out, I just want the French to follow suit tomorrow.
Daggers Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 at 42 i'm getting on a bit. *Ahem* I'll have you know that 40-something is the new 20-something
