On the flip side I dont have to crawl out of bed early, spend loads of money getting to Burnley away, spend loads of money at Burnley away, watch us get battered by Burnley, and then get back home just in time for bed time, or book hotel and spend even more money, go out and get plasterd and spend even more. <_< I dunno why I bother with away games.
Ric Flair Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 I'm not missing anything to do with Leicester City at the minute. I'm still gutted about the world cup and the un-inspirng goings on at Leicester have really given me zero appetite for the new season. No doubt that will change as we draw closer to the start of the season, but it will be more hope than optimism for me i'm afraid.
Louise Posted 3 July 2006 Posted 3 July 2006 I don't think I really miss it yet, at least not Leicester City, probably because I'm so apprehensive about what is going to happen this season (and the World Cup has left me feeling football-stuffed). There are certain aspects that I miss, most to do with the football-going experience.. the atmosphere of a night game (not necessarily the sound, but just the collective feeling around you), or sitting down in a stadium with 20k other people,squeezing down the steps after a match we've won (doesn't happen often) and everyone chatting excitedly... standing in the concources before a match knowing that stupidly you've been looking forward to this for a couple of weeks... Actually most of the stuff I miss is nothing to do with the actual football... Not surprising I suppose with the last few seasons we've had.

I love away games Since the Walkers opened I've probably been to more away games than home I'm in the process of booking my Bristol to Leeds and Bristol to Newcastle(Sunderland) flights now!

Away games are better,better atmosphere and just a change from your normal routine,just a shame its so pricey

After you've done that, the games will be re-arranged (for sky or something).

Its alright when you get there its when you get back relise theres no weekend left and ur bank balance looks like Dick Turpin has turned his hand to ID fraud and has had you. I've decided im not rolling out my pit/getting time off work to get down to Luton, and I did want to go to Coventry however Friday night games are ridicoulous and I bycott them. Baggies looks tasty though

The flights are dirt cheap at the minute so think I'll just monitor it for now Got the hotels booked though as you can cancel them on the day.
