Skippy Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 As my opening post on this forum I felt an overwhelming urge to put in my penny’s worth into the mix re the design of the new City kit. I agree with most people and feel it looks like absolute trash. It sort of looks like someone has messed around with a reasonably good design in Photoshop after having a big night out on recreational drugs. Someone somewhere must be pissing themselves right now and I can only guess that the so-called kit designer is probably a forest supporter who is having a good laugh at our expense and takes way too many pills during worktime. I mean, they can’t be serious.... our team will look like some sort of God squad playing for a local vicarage - those white collars are ridiculously Holy and so not right on a football field. Only consolation is we may get support of the big fella upstairs who could help guide us to the holy lands of the Premiership, but I doubt it. And what on earth is going on with those caped shorts? Are they insane?! I guess they had to come up with something equally as ugly to detract from the stupid looking collar. Flipping heck I never thought I’d say this but I feel sorry for anyone who has pull on a City shirt this year. Needless to say I won’t be purchasing this appalling kit unless of course I need to visit the house of our lord to pray for City’s future in about 9 months from now. Naa we have the faith now. So has anyone actually discovered if there’s any real practical use for caped shorts? The rest of the kit looks ok in comparison.... apart from the pin-stripes, tacky logos etc etc. Oh and I apologise in advance if I’ve offended any church going supporters... I can’t help it being a heathen git.

Craig Posted 6 July 2006 Author Posted 6 July 2006 Hmmm. I don't like it. The sponsor thing is crap. The badge and jjb logo are higher quality than the last one though, and the collar doesn't seem as large and bold.
The Don Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 They could have sent you one with a badge that was ledgable - unlike my spelling that is
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 I like the pinstripe concept but I just think they've made such a hash of it that it might as well be pink and yellow polkadots.
Wils Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 Got mine this morning,im quite impressed with it,the sponser still looks a bit dodgey but its alrite
The People's Hero Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 People seem to think we are the only club operating on a one year cycle! Everton, Aresenal, Wigan, Coventry, etc all operate a similar system. [sarcasm] Good point! That's four out of 92.. must be at least what? Half? [/sarcasm]
Wils Posted 6 July 2006 Posted 6 July 2006 The badge has gone back to old material along with the jjb bit aswell

Mmmm I can see this catching on, especially with our forwards who generally play like big fairies. ....form an orderly queue ladies, everyone will get on.
