  1. 1. Their punishment proves corruption is still alive and well

    • Nope ~ a 15 point penalty is very severe you know...

Well I think they all should have been relegated then depending on the amount of fixing the amount of points they lose

The country itself is pretty much rotten to the core, football is no different don't think they will ever get rid of corruption

Before anyone sits there and says "gah, they should be in Serie F" does anyone know the actual extent each club were involved in in the whole scandel?

I mean, we know Juventus were the main ringleaders, and they've practically been relegated two divisions, with a relegation to Serie B and a 30 point penalty, but how much were Milan actually involved?

I dunno, just thinking about it.

Agree with Alex. I'd like to think Milan wouldn't have to go too far in match fixing. They've some cracking players and were oustanding in Europe for years. I'm probably being naive.

Oh, and before you all start getting all jingoist and xenophobic about the Italians, it's worth having a loot at the fact bookies have it at 8-1 that an English / British club gets relegated for match fixing in the next five years according to the betting collumn in the rag yesterday ;).

I think the real reason why AC Milan didn't get relegation is because of a certain person who was/is a pretty big figure in Italy and has something to do with AC Milan.

I'm happy to see them stay up 'cos they're my "team from abroad" but they should've been relegated as well in all honesty.

I think the lawyers will have the final say, as happened with Spurs a few years back when they overturned a ban from the FA Cup AND a 12 point deduction.

I'd be surprised if ANY of the four clubs ended up being relegated, as they'd lose millions because the contracts with their players would no longer exist.

If you were a politician, and were this honest, I'd vote for you...:blush:
