EBUYER B*STARDS!

I ordered some blank dvd's and a dvd re-writer for my pc on sunday night. est. delivery was on thursday. Thursday came and no items. I went onto the website and order status, 'being picked'. ARGH. so later on in the day it said that one of my items was out of stock so they couldn't send it. I rang them up this morning after being cut off loads of times, and I wanted to change my item that was out of stock, but then they say my dvd re-writer is now out of stock as i have been put to the back of the queue! WHAT A JOKE. I had an argument with the woman on the other end giving me bullsh*t about they had a stock check so all the orders were suffering problems. She eventually gave me a free shipping voucher and asked if I would like to wait 2 weeks for my dvd rewriter to become available. NO THANK YOU GOODBYE.

I still needed these items so went onto dabs.com got the same things and £5 extra, oh well. I created an account and placed my order, then had some breakfast, I came back a little later and 'ORDER COMPLETED, ITEMS SHIPPED'. I nearly dropped my marmite on toast, they had shipped my items in 8 minutes! 8 minutes! Ebuyer had took 3 whole days to say my item is out of stock.

Thank you dabs, and I only wish I had read about ebuyer horror stories on www.ebuyersucks.com first.

Looking forward to delivery tomorrow!

Im quite annoyed cos I am usually quite good at picking good websites...

Thanks for the tip, I regularly use ebuyer (but haven't had any problems with them bar their slow delivery times).

Well it seems that if your order goes without a hitch then you are going to really happy because i admit the prices ARE very cheap. but then if things go wrong, they go VERY wrong. Those E-notes really pee me off. Can take up to 7 days to respond to? jesus

I've had nothing but good service with EBuyer. Maybe it's because they are a Sheffield based company or something?

I had trouble with them too recently. I ordered two internal card readers to put in the front of pCs. They sent two external card readers. I pointed out their error and returned them. They then credited me for the items but not the shipping either way! They just said it was tough eventhough it was their mistake. The shipping was more than the items were worth. I decided then not to use them again.

hmmm, Im a regular customer and have never had a problem.

I know its a pain, but Ebuyer normally offer good stuff and great prices, and sometimes its worth the wait/hassle.

Hope its just a one off for you mate.

I know but I bought a dvd re-writer and 3 boxes of dvd+r's. For an extra £5 to actually get the item early and without hassle of faffing about with those bloody e-notes, im happier paying a little extra.

Also be in the safe knowledge that I will get the correct items :)

I've bought shedloads of stuff from them, and had great service every time.

I got a TV card for the laptop that wasn't any cop and had no trouble getting my money back for it straight away.

I like Ebuyer.

EBUYER B*STARDS!

heh

...

BEWARE of EBUYER!

I bought some power extension leads. I specifically indicated BLACK. But they sent me two white ones. I complained via the online system (after being automatically logged out 20 times due to timeout) and they simply sent me two black ones at no charge.

However, more recently I bought a wireless router. They sent me an inferior version. I complained, got an exchanged and AGAIN they sent the wrong one. In the end we kept this because we could not wait any longer.

But yes, they are bloody B*stards and will send you what they feel like and and if the feel like.

How many times have you bought stuff from them?

And when?

I have a feeling they have gone downhill recently (last two years).

It may have something to do with huge customer numbers...

That seems harsh.

As I said earlier, I have a feeling they don't care about customer services that much now.

They have so many customers they can afford to lose a few... like you and anyone who finds themselves in similar situations... :(

As to those that are lucky enough to get the correct items... they will be happy and will remain their customers for as long as mistakes do not occur.

They used to be good. I bought a bunch of stuff off em a year or two back and it all came through fine and cheap. I "bought" an MP3 player a couple of weeks back they were trying to clear out old ones ready for the new video playing ones to come out so I go and buy one of the last 6 they had. They pocketed my money, but it takes them two weeks (I ordered it on 3 day delivery) to tell me that actually they ran out. Then their 24 hour refund takes 3 days. But the one redeeming thing about it was that they were actually helpful on the phone and the wait in the queue was about 30 seconds.

These days, I'm pretty much glued to OCUK instead - equally good prices on computers, better special offers, but not as good on extras like mp3 players etc, but I've never had a problem with them (a mate had an item mislabelled as saturday instead of next day delivery, but thats the worst I've heard of them doing).

I agree with you. I have been buying from ebuyer for years and the problems only started relatively recently (last year or so). Previously, I had never had any problems with them.

Overclockers have always seemed on the ball. Haven't bought from them so far though.
