Although devoted to Baabar's beer, I'm just enjoying a chilled bottle of Wells Banana Bread Beer and is that not one delicious tipple.

Does anyone else have a recomendation in the way of beers or wines apart from the regular offerings from the multinationals?.

My local brewery is Camerons. They're north-east based, so I'm not sure what your chances are of getting a pint from them in the midlands.

Careful exploration of the real ale shelves of your local Morrisons or Tesco might throw up one or two of their bottled varieties, such as Strongarm (4.0%abv) or my favourite, Long Leg (4.8%abv).

Don't know too much about beers\ales or wines for that matter. But I do like to try different whiskies and spirits, and my favourite and the only spirit I can drink neat is Glenfidich Special Whisky Liquor!!!

Anything from the Badger's Sett brewery tends to be pretty good. Or have I got that the wrong way round? Is Badger's Sett a beer? Either way.. Tanglefoot and stuff of that ilk..

don't know if "fuggle de dum" is available in foxland it a local I O Wight brew made from local honey, good stuff , gives you a buzz and has a sting in the tail ( i'll get me coat)

I've tried about half of those mentioned - and shall now work hard on locating the other half. Hic!

Fuggle de dum sounds fun, they just might have some at the Swan & Rushes. But I've taken notes and I'll see which of those mentioned, they've got tucked in some little corner.
