Scow Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Ok, I'm bored.... Taylor Makin / Dabizas / Keown / Stewart Gillespie / Joey / Williams / Tiatto Scowcroft / Connolly Subs: Pressman, Heath, Nalis, Dublin, Blake I've got a feeling Nalis will be dropped, he's been a bit quiet the last two games. Joey and Williams in the centre, With Tiatto returning left side of midfield. Keown in for Dublin hopefully.
Mark Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Well thats the most likely team. Taylor Canero / Dabizas / Keown / Stewart Gillespie / Dawson / Williams / Tiatto Wright / Connolly Subs: Pressman, Scowcroft, Gudjonsson, Makin, Stearman Although as i say most weeks, that would be much better
spirefox Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Spot on I'd say, with Dublin in for Keown and Nalis for Tiatto if they don't make it.I am a bit worried about Taylor's kicking in open play and his tendency to take two touches on shots though.Still, its always a good trip to the "morgue" of Elland Road where the chant of "only sing when when you're winning" must have been invented.
Scow Posted 30 November 2004 Author Posted 30 November 2004 Play Stearman ahead of Dabizas, Scowcroft ahead of Wright, and you're on to a winner.
Mark Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Play Stearman ahead of Dabizas, Scowcroft ahead of Wright, and you're on to a winner. 41658 Well they did ok at Wigan so don't change a good partnership just yet, it's way too old though. Stearman won't even be a sub realistically Strange when he's played Andy Webster for years in the Hearts team, and he is even less strong than Stearman. The bad partnership is Scowcroft and Connolly and you know it something has to be done and quick, if we stick with them pair till January December aint looking too good
Ash Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 I think the team will be :- Taylor Makin/Keown/Dublin/Stewart Gillespie/Williams/Nalis/Morris Scowcroft/Connolly Subs : Pressman,Dabizas,Canero,Blake,Joey
dan_84 Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 ............................Taylor.................... .........Dabizas... Keown/Dublin...Heath...... Subs Canero Keown/Dublin Tiatto/Stewart Dawson Morris
Steven Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Assuming all fit for Saturday - CL hopes it will be the case Taylor Makin/Keown/Dublin/Stewart Gillespie/Williams/Nalis/Tiatto Connolly/Blake Subs : Pressman,Morris,Canero,Dawson,Stearman

Webster is an established international and although Scotland have been poor of late he has been one of the few outstanding players. Although Strearman has undoubted potential I don't think he can be put in the same class when he has yet to start a first team game. Webster has played in the UEFA Cup regularly over the last 3 seasons to boot. BTW, I agree with the first team Scowy put up
davieG Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 I think CL will go for a more defensive/experienced squad away from home and pick; Taylor Makin/Keown/Dabizas/Stewart Gillespie/Gudjonsson/Nalis/Tiatto Connolly/Scowcroft Subs : Pressman,Canero,Dublin,Williams,Blake I'd like to see Taylor Canero/Keown/Heath/Stewart Gillespie/Williams/Tiatto/Nalis Connolly/Scowcroft Subs : Pressman,Morris,Makin,Dawson,Stearman

But the fact is he gave him a chance when he was very young signing him from the lower leagues, where he had hardly played any first team football. So i would of thought he'd given indications that he would be doing the same with Stearman.
Durnerz Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 ----------------Taylor-------------- Canero----Keown--Heath---Stewart Gillespie---Nalis---Gudjonsson--Tiatto ---------Scowcroft---Connolly----- Subs: Pressman, Dublin, Makin,Williams, Morris. Depending on the fitness of heath and canero i'd like to see this team out.
Teeno Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 -------------------TAYLOR CANERO--DABIZAS--KEOWN--TIATTO GILLESPIE--NALIS--WILLIAMS--STEWART ------------MORRIS--CONNOLLY sub: Pressman, Scowcroft, Heath, Gudjohnson, Dawson
Anish Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 My team would be: Taylor Canero Keown Heath Stewart Tiatto Nalis Gudjonsson Gillespie Scowcroft Morris
Scow Posted 30 November 2004 Author Posted 30 November 2004 -------------------TAYLORCANERO--DABIZAS--KEOWN--TIATTO GILLESPIE--NALIS--WILLIAMS--STEWART ------------MORRIS--CONNOLLY sub: Pressman, Scowcroft, Heath, Gudjohnson, Dawson 41687 I hope he doesn't play Nalis and Williams in midfield together. We've struggled in away games playing those two in the centre, we lack any authority in there. I could actually see Levein play Nalis left side if he wanted to accomodate both players in the team. Nalis has played there the last two games in the second halfs against Wigan and Plymouth. He wouldn't play on the left wing, but more centrally to allow Stewart space to get down the left side when attacking, a bit like how Ashley Cole and Lampard/Gerarrd play for England.
Ash Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 In my opinion Williams has to play , He is the best attacking and creative midfielder we have !
Mark Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 If Williams plays, then Nalis is a definate no no, especially away from home at Leeds, Williams and Joey/Dawson.
Teeno Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 In my opinion Williams has to play , He is the best attacking and creative midfielder we have ! 41754 If I had to chose between Williams and Nalis, then it would be Nalis everytime, unless like Scowy said Nalis plays on the left then, maybe Joey n Nalis should play together and Williams on the bench. But don't worry Ash he'll be warm there

Ash Posted 30 November 2004 Posted 30 November 2004 Yes i think all three should play together -Williams can do the attacking and creating -Joey can do the defensive work -Nalis can do both attacking/defending

Little Nicky Posted 1 December 2004 Posted 1 December 2004 I think that CL will go for a complete change to be honest (or at least that's what I'd like to see)...... -------------------Taylor------------------- --Canero----Keown--Heath---Stewart--- ---Gillespie--- ---Gudjonsson--Nalis ------------Williams ----------Scowcroft---Connolly----- Subs: Tiatto, Dawson, Gemmill, Blake, Dublin What Craig will actually play.... -------------------Taylor----------------- Makin-------Keown--Heath-----Stewart Gillespie---Williams--Nalis------Tiatto ----------Scowcroft---Connolly--------- Subs: Pressman, Gudjonsson, Gemmill, Blake, Dublin
