john_lcfc Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 I would just like to ask a question. How do we get the car on the pitch?? Is there access for a car to get on?? I thought it was continous seating round the ground?? theres loadsza access under the away fans where they take naughty fans out of L1 and the away end the letter will be sent in 10 minutes just seeing if anyone has anything else to add to it or whatever
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Sure there's been cars round the pitch before.
john_lcfc Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Lets see what another lcfc forum think of the idea http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.p...1958#post291958
davieG Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Who's going to pay for the car? I can't see any local dealer giving one away to entertain 9999 footy fans!!

john_lcfc Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Who's going to pay for the car? I can't see any local dealer giving one away to entertain 9999 footy fans!! sponsorship of some sort
davieG Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Well they did down here. Maybe times or Northampton were/are more affluent then
The Don Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 You might do, Its not gonna get given away every week, twice a season I'm thinking. If its only a cheap brand new corsa or something, wouldn't cost a great deal of money.

The Don Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 23 games + cups, 15 people having a go - 345 attempts per season. I reckon 1 will get it in!!
Alexikokopops Posted 1 September 2006 Posted 1 September 2006 Who's going to pay for the car? I can't see any local dealer giving one away to entertain 9999 footy fans!! According to Fez the ball only ended up in the boot once or twice a season, and it probably didn't necessarily saty in the boot everytime (I'm making an assumption here). Since it costs £995 + VAT for a North Stand advertising board for 12 months (according to thisthis) then if it wasn't too expensive a car then it's not a bad price for advertising every single half time home match if it was only given away once or twice a season max. I'll leave everyone else to define "not too expensive", I'm too lazy for any more figures.
Guest Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Is it just me, but am I the only one who thinks that relying on the club to entertain me is a bit naff? Isn't half-time the bit of the game when you discuss what went wrong in the first half, and come up with ways of making it better in the second?
Daggers Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Isn't half-time the bit of the game when you discuss what went wrong in the first half, and come up with ways of making it better in the second? If that's true then Thracian would need to leave 10 minutes after kick off

Aye your right there, But kiddies need to be entertained dont they Most people just go and get a pie or go loo and by the time you've cued etc then there's only like 5 mins left. I REALLY can't see the point in moaning about it anyway
Guest Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Aye your right there, But kiddies need to be entertained dont they Come and see me and my niece. It will give a run down of the game like a forty year old disillusioned so and so. Shame really, it's only eight....

Nationwider Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Come and see me and my niece. It will give a run down of the game like a forty year old disillusioned so and so. Shame really, it's only eight.... Never BS the kids - they need to know the realities of life as early as possible.
john_lcfc Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 Lisa always calls her niece "it" i notice? why?
Guest Posted 3 September 2006 Posted 3 September 2006 How nice of you to call her/him "it" Being a niece, it's hardly going to be the latter. And until you've met it, you won't understand. It's an It. Never BS the kids - they need to know the realities of life as early as possible. Indeed, it handled the first two games very well, and pragmatcally. "Will we be in the bottom 3 if we lose to Burnley? The time to worry about that is the last game of the season. Or the last month, if you really want to."
