Sylla

From the Stearman article...

City have already cleared the decks, as those Kelly rated surplus to requirements - Patrik Gerrbrand, Joe Hamill and Mark de Vries - have left the club.

Winger Momo Sylla initially came into that category but is now considered a full member of this season's squad.

:o

Is this just lazy journalism (i.e. the fact we haven't managed to sell him yet?) or is he actually going to play a part this season?

Yeah it's bollocks. They've made comments like that about Sylla before because he managed to show some effort in pre-season, but it's not even lead to a place on the bench.

It's possible he will play at some point but I'd think Hughes, Maybury and Low would all need to be out...even then RK might play Weso on the right. He's there for depth.

I said this quite a while ago. Sylla is absolutely useless, he had enough chances to perform and he didn't take them. Now we have wingers that are able to perform, he is even less likely to play, because unlike him, they have taken their chance. With little reserve team games around atm as well, he is going to struggle very very much to force his way back into our side, and I do not think he has the ability, or even the desire to do so

Celtic sold a midfielder yesterday. Do you think they'll have him back?

Tell them we'll pay them to take him!

Funnily enough, the only solid, exciting performance sylla gave for us was against Celtic. You reckon that'd be enough for them to take him??

How we going to manage to pay them to take him back?? All the fans chip in??:rolleyes:

He surely won't play again this season.

No-one will realistically take him off our hands though, he's one of the worst excuses for a footballer I've ever seen

The control of Elvis, the passing ability of Nils, the aerial skills of Porter, shooting like MDV and open-play crossing like Kenton.. Hmmm who could we give a player like that to?? Sunderland???:blink:

I think the change I have in my pocket will be enough!

He's reminds me of one of those old bangers where the scrappy used to give you £50 for it but now charge you £100 to get rid of it

Quick, someone get on the blower, tell them they can have him at a knockdown price instead of Stearman.

Afterall, he's right-footed, so he could surely play right back... (afterall, he aint much use anywhere else on the f/cking pitch) :P:thumbup::smile::sweating:

I think he's just going to hide under a rock, wait til his contract runs out, and disappear never to be heard of again, ever...

lol in all honesty, Sylla would be a much better option for Sunderland than Stearman. As you said, he's right footed, so he can definitely play right back if required, and he'd also come at a cheaper cost than Stearman would. Somebody tell them they can have both Sylla and Maybury for half the price they'd be willing to pay for Stearman. Quality right-sided pairing for cut price deal. Bargain

Strong selling point - take the pair, they've an 'understanding' of the way they both play down the same flank - afterall, they did appear in a few games on the right side together. :P

Exactly. They know each others game very well and can compliment each other when playing in the side at the same time. And really, they'll be strengthening their squad - both players know what it's like to be first team players as well as squad rotation lads, so they're utility men, coming with quite a bit of experience of the championship. None are likely to moan, and they also believe in "togetherness" within the squad!!

(Am I doing my best to sell these two or what!!!)

You should be an agent.

Great salary and plenty of perks... like the huuuuuuuuge bungs clubs will pay you to get rid of their shittiest players. ;)

If City will pay me to get rid of MDV, Maybury, Sylla and the like, I will do me damn hardest to get rid of them, and then some. After they leave, I shall put all of my MASSIVE salary back into the club, as I am definitely more of a team player than the 3 of those put together :D:thumbup:

Try harder.

:whistle::whistle:

Gona see if I can find a Sunderland fan forum (as if!! Now I'm just dreaming!!!) and paste it all on there, ask them to be in touch with the management, and bobs your uncle :P

I'll be surprised if Sylla makes any kind of appearance at any point this season. Sylla should have been given a one year deal, if any at all, when he was signed. Long contracts for players like Sylla are invitations to take it easy. He knows that there will always be a small team in Scotland or a lesser known French side that will be willing to sign him for nothing at the end of his current deal or a little earlier if he thinks his lack of action will put those teams off.
